I was just wondering about members posting replies in feedback forum. I know members were allowed to post replies here a few months ago but then that privilege was taken away due to some obvious reasons (going off topic and flooding the threads etc, I think) and now members can’t post replies here.
Sometimes other members or I have a similar issue that relates to an already opened thread, I think instead of openning a new thread, we should be able to just post in that thread and ask our question there. Sometimes some of those questions can be answered by members and it takes days and sometimes weeks before any mod or admin replies there, if members would be allowed to post, the thread opener will get his/her answer faster. If you all have concerns about the previous problems (going off topic and flooding in feedback), warning system should be able to take care of that right away. I think it’s better to have more replies in one thread than having more threads about the similar issues.
What kinds of questions are we talking about here? if it’s technical queries then I guess the best person to officially respond to them are the Tech Admins. Meanwhile friends and other helpful guppies can PM you a solution to your problem if they think they know how it can be resolved.
The Feedback forum has been changed to allow individual attention to our members. We do not want initial questions/concerns/feedbacks to get muddled/derailed by others, and we want people to post freely in Feedback.. if we were to allow everyone and then start heavy moderating to keep threads on topic we’d need another feedback forum to tackle complaints about moderation in the first feedback forum
Well I don’t have specific examples in mind and I understand that members can pm each other but if we are allowed to post in the threads in feedback, then not only the thread opener can benefit from that, but also those people who have questions. The point is to avoid openning so many threads on the same issue. We can pm the solution to the topic starter but it’s hard to read everyone’s mind and pm them as well who have the smilar problem and one might think that they can take advantage of the solution provided for a problem to the started…and I know I’ve confused you
And you are right, if you were to allow everyone and then start heavy moderating to keep threads on topic, you’d need another feedback forum to tackle about moderation in the first feedback forum…this might make you all feel good…I think you all are doing a wonderful job :k: You all are humans too and have a life outside of gupshup, instead of complaining, people should encourage you all, help, suggest, and behave.

well thank you for the suggestion.. and that goes for everyone.. even if you do not see an immediate action, rest assured every input you provide stays with us and in some shape or form our new policies and changes reflect that.
