everyone has the right to justify their lifestyle aslong as it doesn’t harm anyone. in this case, this girl has every right to be queer and express her opinions. i give her credit for her bravery and courage, not easy to be gay in any community, and it’s especially hard in muslim community.

Historically speaking more gays were persecuted by non-Muslims than Muslims. Read about Nazis.
Muslims are the best in their tract record to tolerate Gays and Homosexuals.
They have no system to even ask or make them public if they are gay or not.
Muslims do not persecute gays in masses. Despite not agreeing with their lifestyle and sexual behavior. Will not.

The point of my post is that you want to deliberately demonizing Muslim communities… despite not agreeing with queers, there is no persecution for them. Got it?

is it not harder to be gay in muslim countries than it is in US? not saying its super easy here either, plenty of christians make it hard for gay people here as well but we can all agree sodomy is a crime in a many muslim countries but its not a crime in US or majority of Europe.
im not challenging that law, each citizen is responsible for abiding by their laws. i am not arguing why its a crime or not, all i am saying it is harder to be homosexual.
please show me where i demonized muslims. and please tell me where i said they are being persecuted by muslims. please stop accusing me of things I never said or meant.

**and before you call me biased, i have equal amount of respect for a girl wearing a hijab or niqab in a western country by her own choice. just like it’s brave for a girl to come out as gay in a muslim community, it’s just as brave for a woman to wear hijab/niqab/abaya in a western country. **respect for anyone who firmly believes in their faith and have the guts to show the world, even if the world will disagree.

the lady has represented her version of Islam. her version is not what Islam is. Quran clearly states that there will be people who will deny even the most obvious sayings and rules in the Quran. so Islam has already warned us about such people and this lady seems to be one. what i get from her article is she is trying to justify that Islam allows for outside of marriage sex and between same genders as well. i wonder if she has( as she claims) read so much with the help of translations, hadiths, other books etc, didn’t she read and understood about Allah’s wrath on the nation of Loth? didn’t she see what was the reason of that wrath? i can only come with the explanation that she did read about that but prefer to close her eyes than to reflect upon it.
