But do you think that a divorce that happened for reasons such as medical impairment (in the example u shared) is more “predestined” than let’s say a divorce where one or both partners have no respect for one another? Are we more likely to see the former as qadr and the latter as a product of our own wrong actions? From a divine perspective…would both divorces be predestined or just one of them?

I think both are predestined RV. Wont you say that Allah ne oon ka mustaqbil saath hee nahi rukhkhaa thaa, baqi to sab bahaana thaa. Medical reason was just one example, but people (at least in west) just grow out/away from each other. I have seen divorces where ex partners are still good friends, no grudges, no hard feelings. Its just that things did not work out for them when they were married.
