Guys I hope you don’t move this thread but although we just came second best in a fantastic match today I think the Karachi crowd deserve a special mention. The atmosphere was electric from the first ball, and the ovation that the Indian team received at the end was a slap in the face for all those scaremongers who have tried to tarnish that city’s reputation. It was also a MASSIVE slap in the face to those mullahs who pararde these boards to see so many women enjoying the game in the stands and I hope they turned off their tv’s instead of watching the game according to their own stupid understanding of the deen.
Well done Karachi’ites for making it a great day for Pakistani cricket not to mention the good it has done the game as a whole. You made us all proud

Coming back to the topic: The whole nation is so proud of the Karachi awam. I hope they get special mention in the papers and TV. Great crowd. And what a match to bring international cricket back to Karachi. Couldn’t have been a better organised and better played match.
Karachiites made us proud today and hopefully this excellent successful kickoff of the series will pave the way for furture internationals in karachi. :k:
As much as I am glad to see a match held in karachi…I am sure no one had the balls to pull a stunt in that kind of security anyways

yeah, the crowd was very well behaved and atmosphere was really electrifying...even jagmon Dalmya said that this is the best crowd he has ever seen and next time when india will tour pakistan , karachi will be hosting the Test match too. i think karachi deserved more than just a one day game but hopefully the people of karachi have silenced the critics who had some doubts over the playing of indian team here..
congrats to all the people of karachi for providing us with such a good entertainment...Insah Allah we'll be seeeing more international teams playing in karachi soon ...
