AAMEEN, SUM AAMEEEN
PER SHAIRA SIS I AM TOO NIKAMMI.. IS KA TERJUMA BHI AGER SAATH LIKH DAYTEEN TO ACHA THA.
It means
"May Allah (swt) grant health (recovery) to the ill."
Muazarat-khuwah hoon chanda behen.
the Duah means
"Ya-Allah, sab momin mareezon ko shafa` day."
Ameen.
Ameen....Sum Ameen
... Ameen
ma'am i disagree.
you wrote:
"Ya-Allah, sab momin mareezon ko shafa` day."
actual literal tranlsation:
"Ya allah, tamaam mareezon ko shaf'a day"
the word "kul" means all, irrespective of cast creed and religion. ** i call this religious discrimination and extremism thru false tranlations. **
Jewels of Insignificance,
Subhaan'Allaah, you do not even have the manners to correct a mistake.
On other threads you try and mislead others by falsly presenting yourself with such decorum, yet in truth you are impertinent. You are eager in picking out the mistakes of others, but never question your own actions and intentions.
Who are you trying to fool? Some of us may sometimes be unable to see through you, but let me remind you, that Allaah (subhaan wa ta'aala) is watching and is aware of what lies in your heart.
Please don't make a mockery of everything ... and try to fear Allaah.
kind regards
dear
your post was more about the hatred that you have for me, and less about the actual topic being discussed.
please view and compare the english and urdu translations posted by shaira, and then you will yourself notice the word ** momin ** has been added by herself. similarly the arabic text does not contain the word ** momin ** either.
please keep your posts more about the translation and less about my personality.
Jewels of Insignificance,
I do not hold a hatred against individuals … only their vile characteristics and attitudes!
The Prophet salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said: “If you see an evil, then change it with your hand. If you cannot change it with your hand, then change it with your tongue. If you cannot change it with your tongue, then hate it in your heart. And this is the weakest of eemaan.”
As I said earlier, the person should be a lot more conscious of his own shortcomings and try to rectify them, rather than be hasty in ‘nit picking’ others. As humans we are all vulnerable to making mistakes, be it in translation or recitation. And mistakes of such a nature do need to be corrected, but where in Islaam does it say to try and embarrass someone in the process because of an emotional paranoia?
And let it be said, this too is a translation ... a translation of a translation ... a translation of something that has blinded you by casting a veil over your eyes – a misconception of superiority fueled by pride.
... And Allaah Knows Best.
And may He subhaan wa ta’aala remove any trace of pride from our hearts and establish the manners of His beautiful Messenger, Muhammad salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam and his companions within us.
JOI Husnain got a point there, how can you judge a possible typo or an overlook in a translation (in this particular and specific case) to be
religious discrimination and extremism thru false tranlations
Disagreeing and correcting the translation in this case is entirely different than calling it religious discrimination and extremism thru false tranlations! This incorrect translation does not even fall under any furthur ramification or implication to go fanatic about it.
Your pointing out the incorrect translation is plausible, but going furthur than that completely out of place and totally uncalled for.
Dear Roman,
well you got me here. that was wrong of me. well although adding a whole word "momin" can not possibly be caled a typo, i will surely admit this was harsh how i concluded it.
Well its that i usually face this kind of attitude, the healing is only meant for muslim * mareez*. I ,usually, in this society, am out of the definition of muslim, people such as those who claim to be close friends deny my reuqests to pray for me ( i have been suffering as far as health is concerned, for the past year or so ). They claim that its just the muslims who deserve the prayer for them to heal.
When i first saw the thread i felt good, for i thought god might hear this prayer for me. i was shocked to realize that it was only for momin mareez, although God did not want it to be, i felt depressed. cheated.
The little lines did not depict all this.. they did not depict what i have gone through lately. they just depict rudeness.
i apologize.. and am ashamed.
Oh, come on JOI, lighten up man. Caring what other say won't help you feel any better. And it sure doesn't make them righteous as well.
If you believe in God and have faith in Him that He wants the best for you, whatever it may be then you don't need anyone to pray for you... and if you don't then you don't need it again. So either way, all it matters is you, yourself and your belief, and faith.
Hope you feel better.
