Are we allowed to take a small plant on board…on any airline…???
I’ve this beautiful bamboo stem , which i’m sure i can’t find in pak n i want to take it with me…it comes with a small test tube like pot filled with water…As I can’t pack it in my luggage, can I take it as my hand baggage…??
Check what Pakistan's laws are on live plant imports. Some countries are extremely strict, because of worries about introducing foreign plant diseases.
im sure ive seen signs up in (i think) Islamabad airport
however like Abdullah K say's it depends upon the customs person you get to see..
Some are nice and some are not
how big is it, sometimes people take plants by wrapping the bottom part in cotton wool soaked in water and covering in clingfilm and foil... and smuggling it in that way...
dont worry about Pakistani law, worry if u can export that plant from the country u are in. Pay 200 rupees to a custom officer & he will bring that plant to you car door outside the airport.
I just want to take one stem with me .....n theres no soil with it ....it comes with a small test tube like pot a little wider than the actual stem ...n there's just some water in it.
I think I'll take it with me ....In case I'm not allowed I'll just leave it there....!Though I really wish to take it ....its soooo beautiful.
Lazy D....My appearance makes me the first person to be suspected for any illfare. :)
