Well, actually you are right, this is in the UAE. This picture is of Khor Fakkan, and for the umpteenth time I must declare that I simply love the Khor Fakkan beach.

If by that you mean explosive, yes at times, especially when really ticked off. But that wasn't what I meant at all. More likely I feel like the sea....calm and quiet on the surface, but who can guess what might not be under the surface?

Yeah Nadia it is. I have been to Khorfakkan soo many times, I love it soo much, it is awsome there, the moutains on one side and the Arabian sea on the other just breathtakingly beautiful, I'd have to say the best of all the places in the UAE.

Majestic, When were you in Khorfakkan? i went there last year (July i think). It was my first time there, i'll probably never visit there again. :(

Do you or Majestic remember the Sheikh's palace that is situated at the very top of the hill in Khorfakkan? i have a pic of that somewhere, i will try to post it up soon Insha'Allah. Have either of you been to the Oceanic in Khorfakkan? Or that Iranian restaurant located by one of the roundabouts - the one whose outside is covered with lush, thick green vines?

Of course I do...in fact that was the first thing that I noticed on my first trip there. It looks so fascinating, doesn't it? Lord knows, for years now I have cherished the idea of stealing up that mountain and have a peek at the palace. It must feel amazing to live there, on top of a mountain..with the sea stretched in front of you. like a limitless expanse. Don't you think that the sea is the most fascinating of all the things out there. Well, I do! Khair....and I know the Iranian resturaunt you are talking about. Been there a number of times, the food is really good. But more than that it is the location. Seems so serene out there. Khor Fakkan is one cool place, and I miss it sooooo much. I have passed by oceanic countless times, but have been there only once. We also got to ride the boat you know..ever tried that? Its kind of fun.
About the other picture, well my father sent it to me. Will have to ask him about that.
