Today, September 11, 2008…still reminds us of the past tragedy, although 7 years old, the lingering effect of the dreaded day still feels as if it was yesterday.
So many precious lives were lost as a result of terror. No one could have predicted that the World Financial center, New York City would be attacked and paralyzed. A paralysis, the effects of which are still felt today.
We hope to have learned a lot from that day. The death of those who became victims of the heinous act of 9/11 must not go in vain. Seven years have passed and perpetrators of the terrorist act which shook the world have yet to be brought to justice. A global initiative is needed to combat and curb the terrorism. All who can help in any way must be onboard with USA against the continuing War on Terror. We as a nation, were misled and the focus of our goals diverted. But, still today, we stand as a nation united under one flag.
Lets observe a moment of silence for the lives lost on September the 11th, 2001 in the memory of those who are not among us today.
Please offer a thought.
Let us discuss how far we have come in the process of healing, and the progress made in the War on Terror. Have we done enough? Does USA need to do more and if so, what is it that is still lacking, which must be done to ensure such an act does not occur again. Not only in the USA but across the globe.
Rest in Peace victims of 9/11. We have not forgotten you!
