just a thought
I wanted to post some info that may be useful to somebody at some point.
for example
the tel no and email address to the Forced marriage unit here in the UK or helpful telephone numbers to certain groups, societies etc…
posting them in a thread will mean that within a couple of weekes the thread will be lost or smothered by new threads

I cant put a list of telephone numbers on my signature.... because i may inadvertently add the really important ones like pizzahut and then Ill get banned

In the past, guppies have posted similar information which got lost in the swarm of threads and posts. Gupshup could use a virtual rolodex for listing social services and org that Daisy mentioned. Because of the nature of these fora and traffic, it'd be self-updating repository of contact lists.
If Goop admins can pull this off, it'd be an amazing resource for the guppies and casual readers!

Once we start posting "important" phone numbers from around the world it would pretty much look like the yellow pages. So why don't we just use wheel that's already been invented!!

Are you contemplating to put the telephone number of abovementioned company on the notice-board as well (if it becomes a reality)? If no, then you ought not put it in your signature either. If yes, then I do not see any useful purpose of a noticeboard
