A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover....

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

Sorry, not buying that. Colonial aspirations were done in the name of Christianity. You can find that was definitely true in the slaughter of millions of natives of the Americas because they were "heathens", and even in the British colonial of Palestine after the end of WWI. A British official is famous for saying that finally the Christians took back Jerusalem from the Muslims.

You can even go further and say the Muslim imperialism was not done "in the name of religion" but mainly to advance the political aspirations of certain ruling elites. But the ruling elites did use or (misuse) the name of religion for their goals.

Did you make that graphical chart yet to prove your point? Or can we assume your assumption was wrong to begin with?

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

Suit yourself.

Why dont you make the chart and prove me wrong ?

You made the assertion that Muslims have killed more people than Christians, Hindus, etc. That's a pretty big (and false) assertion. You should have the cajones to back it up.

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

That you need to "see" more Muslims!?

Umm, seriously extrapolating from what you have seen, even if what you claim to be true, which I doubt, and then making pretty bold claims like the one Namlas has challenged you to verify, does not really, to say the least, reflect very well upon your faculty of critical reasoning.

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

Again, you missed the point that it has nothing to do with representation or democracy, but the article is about interacting with people form different faiths and seeing things from their povs.

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

And where in my posts did you find that assertion that "Muslims killed more people than Christians" ?

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

Well said. :k:

I did not miss anything my friend hence the last sentence of my first post gives it a positive end.

I am all in favour of dialogue.

But I am not in favour of anyone drawing any conclusions… not unless the dialogue is really that good then maybe I will change my mind.

Speaking of Dialogue this has inspired me to open an interfaith dialogue thread on GS that would be most interesting I have made many friends on GS and not all are Muslims. In fact I call a non Muslim Bhai for crying out loud so offcourse I am all up for anything that brings some harmony to this place… care to join me?

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

Have you ever heard of “stratified random sampling” ? I guess not :hoonh:

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

The author doesn’t know an Ahmadi is NOT a muslim. Pakistani constitution declares them to be non-muslim.

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

Hope your wish comes true about world peace.

However, the article has nothing which shows any such ending nor it has any sense at all.

Don’t know how and who came up with the idea of college boys making any comments on religion. :smack:

In the disguise of freedom and tolerance, these kind of ‘movements’ may still have their own agenda.

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

Considering that you obviously did not conduct one before making your claims and an 8th grade statisitics course is not under discussion, your feigned outrage and the nonsensical question betray a poor attempt of diverting attention and evading coming up with a relevant rejoinder to my observation. Not very smart!

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

So many words, but yet no response to what I said. Try again :)

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

LOL. Is this the best you could come up with? :)

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

Excellent back and forth discussions. Enjoying it.

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

Peace queer

Your intolerance is being tolerated all the time here by religious people. It's a shame that you can't see that.

Re: A Muslim, a Christian, a Sikh and a Hindu Walk into a College Dorm Room& Discover

peace, psyah.

please point out an instance of me being intolerant. put your money where your mouth is, or drop this whole piety charade.
