Why is that?

Look they even have some Urdu on there, bless them.

Re: A Mosque in Oman

Because they are bidah committing bigots?

Re: A Mosque in Oman

Some Masajids are small and have entrances from the front, so unless you have Wuzu to walk in front of ranks of the JammaT to join it, even Muslims wouldn't be allowed...

Don't judge books by their covers...

Re: A Mosque in Oman

^
Bhai this wasn't no small Mosque.

Re: A Mosque in Oman

From the writing it appears that the board was written by a Pakistani. Must be a poor pipe carrying Rafeek making 2 Riyals a day worrying about non-Muslims entering a mosque.

:jazak: for sharing. It’s an eye opening sign.

How can one tell who is a non-Muslim by looking at oneself?

Re: A Mosque in Oman

hmm.. a non muslim friend of mine says that the sultan is actually pretty liberal. and she has been to mosques all around oman. they have hours for tours n stuff.

Re: A Mosque in Oman

what?

Re: A Mosque in Oman

Are you sure this is a masjid ??

Please provide some proof

Not that is not possible, Its more common in pakistan. Some Bralvey masjids wont allow ahle hadees and if some innocent person goes in, they would beat the hell out of him. wo bechara samajhta hai ke ghalti se masjid ke bajaye police station aagaya hoon :(

Re: A Mosque in Oman

^ well, it says masjid on the sign

Re: A Mosque in Oman

especially daft considering that in the big mosque projects, the omani government is contractually held by the indian government to employ a certain percentage of Hindu workers (i believe its 60 percent).

bana ke dey dein, phir andar na ayein, kyu ke sari safai to arbiyon kay anay say ho gi na.

Re: A Mosque in Oman

I think it will be helpful. Its a detailed answer thats why I am putting its link here.

Re: A Mosque in Oman

It says only in the urdu translation …No mention of Masjid in Arabic and english translation…How can we say if it is in Oman ??

Still it is very much possible that it actually is a signboard at masjid, but still is vague, picture does not tell any thing !

OMG - That is irrelevent. Oman is not equal to Makkah / Madina.

Masjids all around the world are open for non-muslims without any discrimination. Disallowing any non-muslim from entering masjid is against sunnah of Holy prophet (pbuh) and Sahaba. All the non-muslim deligation used to meet prophet and later Caliphs in masjids. Even prophet (pbuh) allowed Non-muslim to offer their prayers in Masjid.

Re: A Mosque in Oman

This pic was off some gora guys site, he was pretty upset about some dude in a gown rudely telling him to go away he's not wanted there.

Sad really, people show an interest in our religion and culture and they get pushed away. :(

Re: A Mosque in Oman

^^

Masajids are free to enter to whomever...There must be a few thousand reasons for not allowing non-Muslims in...Why must you always turn your noses towards that which stinks...

Do you know Fallujah? The city of Masajids is now the city of rubble...And this guy is pissed that he was denied entry to a Masjid for whatever reason...

Ranjhan...Wasn't the destruction and desecration of Masajid in Fallujah a crime?

Re: A Mosque in Oman

If the Fallujah people couldn’t stop the lynching of dead bodies, they had the punishment coming their way. Every city has a responsibility of avoiding trouble makers. Our own Karachi burned for years, with dead bodies in sacks, and all the awful stuff. Thanks to Pakistani Rangers, the city is a little bit better now. Fallujah will burn for another year or two. After that everything will be fine.

Re: A Mosque in Oman

here in bahrain i'm taking people (read non-muslim tourists) to mosque tours myself....
its only makkah where non-muslims r not allowed as per Quranic instructions....

Re: A Mosque in Oman

Those sentiments are good as long as one’s own house is safe…

As for Fallujah burning you sound as if Fallujah is a barn with hay in it…It is a city with people in it, and no city should be allowed to burn by anyone whether they be invaders or those aiding them…They should be destroyed by hook, tooth and nail…

Re: A Mosque in Oman

Lajawab, what does this mean?
