Had no title to describe this picture. Something so wrong in this picture, with the masjid in the background (symbolizing the principles of our religion - justice, equality, kindness), and then - this 60 year old man, trying to warm himself by this fire. Maybe he sleeps in this mosque at night, i have no clue.
He is someone’s son, someone’s husband, someone’s brother, someone’s father or someone’s grandfather. With all the money that Muslim governments have, instead of constructing their five-star hotels (Dubai’s Burj al Arab), imagine instead how they could use that money constructively. Wouldn’t that be one of the best jihads undertaken?

This is truly sad. We sould thank Allah(swt) for all the blessings that He has bestowed on us.
Heard our imam say this(may be it was a hadith) : For material things in this world look at the people who dont have as much in this world and that will make you thank Allah(SWT) for all that you have and for the life hereafter and the matters of religion, look at people more pious than you and that will make you want to be more parhaiz-gaar( pious).
Then work with the sincere Muslims to replace the tyrants and criminals which rule over us today. Work solely on the method of Mohammed (saw) to replace them with the Islamic Leadership.
We should not just concern ourselves with removing the rulers but also their corrupt systems which help them to maintain power and authority over us.
Islam rejects man made systems and instead it laid down the Khilafah system as the only system of rule and governance for the Muslims.
Nadia, i hope you don't mind, but i sent that lil note and that picture to a massive number of email address, to hopefully create an enormous fwd chain...people do need to realize. We don't have Muhammad (pbuh) with us to guide us, we don't have salahuddin to help us with retribution, we don't have the rightly guided caliphs, we don't have Malcolm X, yet we have something much more powerful, something the leaders and ameers of the past were trying to achieve, unity between muslims. ONe Muslim body, it prospered for us, and was amazingly well, when we were one! then....somneone came along with their magic marker, and drew lines all over the map, dividing brothers with their sisters, mothers with their husbands, muslims from other muslims. And we took cultural impact and changed our ethics to the national, more so than religious base. WAKE UP EVERYONE!!! Retribution must be liberated into this world.......Justice has to be Spread the way injustice was.
I have pointed so many times here that how we muslims today are actually worshipping marble and rocks in form of grand mosques we build rather than to God. God doesnt need these grandeur mosques but social justice and equality in this world. This tradition of fabolous mosques and prayer places was taken from tyrant muslim kings who built huge palaces and mosques to show thwir religeous greatness. Still today we are so pleased to post some billion dollar mosque in Dubai and Brunai! I have ssen so many times in Lahore that on sides of marble and air conditioned and heated mosques poor are dying in misery..
Mosque is a place to worship and mosques were just to protect worshippers from heat and cold and not a luxury place. It should be just like sorrounding constructions and not to put gold or marble.. food and basic amenities of life for have-nots are much more important than decorating mosques.
