Re: A man behind naeem Bukhari letter.....

She is clever, but not that clever.

Believe me when I say the deal between the government and the PPP was signed back in February, way before the suspension of the CJ. The very demonstration of that deal has been the fact that from day one of the demos the PPP actvists has been virtually invisible, a fact picked up very early cy Ch. Nisar Ali Khan of the PML (Nawaz) in the first few days of the "crisis", but gradually noticed by all other political watchers as well.

The letter itself it is now transpiring to have to more to do with with the huge resentment felt by Iftikhar's fellow judges at his aggressive and less than honorable way of working. Judges in the Peshawar High Court and Lahore High Court seem to have a particular resentment towards the CJ, and it is noticeable that he has kept a distance from the judges from the Quetta High Court (from whence he was elevated to the SC when swore on Musharraf's PCO). Also only a couple of thousand lawyers out of 58,000 in all Pakistan actually ever come out to demonstrate in support for him. Most of them have are politically biased anway, like his chief cousel - PPP MNA Aitzaz Ahsan. In fact the gulf between the CJ and his fellow judges was amply demonstrated by him when he objected to a majority of the judges on the Supreme Judicial Council.
