A little too inspired: Plagiarism by designers

If you folks recall, stylestripped used to have a “little too inspired” section before the whole phudda with Sara Taseer(who had them pull down the site). The relaunched website doesn’t have any of the old posts and luckily i copied everything from google cache. I was reminded of these when i saw a bill board for “shoe designer” Samia Here you go. enjoy!!!

Athar Shahzad plagiarizing the house of Chanel

Re: A little too inspired: Plagiarism by designers

All our designers copy international designers designs...Munib Nawaz is one of them, none of his creations are his own!

Re: A little too inspired: Plagiarism by designers

well who can afford original designers clothes anyways...so its better to get some quality clothes from darzi-designers. :p

Re: A little too inspired: Plagiarism by designers

I think these 'designers' that plagiarised have underestimated the Pakistani people's knowledge once again. Why would you pay so much for something that's the copy of another designer's products? The fact that this stylestripped blog was shut down just shows the extreme insecurity of these people.

Re: A little too inspired: Plagiarism by designers

going by those pics it does look like a copy...on the other hand there could be several reasons and could lead to a huge debate.

i wouldnot pay a higher price if i can get the same suit by the designer who copied it. beacause in the end money matters for me not the designer or the brand (in many cases).

Re: A little too inspired: Plagiarism by designers

exactly.!! the blog was shut down coz of the budmashi of Sara Taseer… which reminds me of one last comparison i forgot to post earlier:

Farah Khan’s design as seen on her website (from an old collection)

“Sketch” sent out by Sara Taseer to ppl on her facebook group.

When stylestripped broke this story, Farah khan reached out to Sara who instead of apologizing, started threatening her. Sara also concocted an elaborate story that involved ‘people’ hacking into her account and sending out the sketch to discredit her. she then decided that the story was too far fetched and in an interview with daily times (which happens to be daddy dearest’s newspaper) claimed that Farah was an attention seeking whore who was jealous of her sister suzanne khan’s success and used this as a publicity stunt to draw attention to herself.. NONE of which makes any sense…

This Sara Taseer lady has no shame whatsoever, just a glimpse of her twitter page will make you feel sick.

don't know who those ladies are but my those earrings are Gorgeous! :)

Re: A little too inspired: Plagiarism by designers

Even if the quality of that suit is cheap? Mind you...even the ones who copy don't sell their copied stuff that cheaply.
