A letter in today's Dawn

Open letter to Baitullah

I AM writing this letter on behalf of Asia, wife of my worker who was killed in bomb blast on March 11 in Lahore. She believes that Baitullah Masood is responsible for the death of her husband, Arif. He was 29 years old and leaves behind four young children. She says:

“What kind of devil do you have inside you. You did not know my husband, the sweetest person on earth. He loved me, his three little daughters and a son.

“How am I going to take care of them? What am I going to tell them? They are too young to understand. You apparently are not a Muslim and don’t believe in Allah or the Day of Judgment.

“How are you going to explain that you have killed so many innocent people, made so many widows, and deprived so many little children of their father’s love? I hope that you have enough conscience left in you to think about these questions.

“We are not at war with you. Whoever is your enemy, fight with them like a man. Don’t take the cover of innocent women and children.

“You know that you will surely go to hell for what you are doing. There is still time to repent. God is very forgiving.”

Re: A letter in today's Dawn

Yes indeed these people are really devil, if one looks at the way they crushed the security guard at the FIA office.

Re: A letter in today's Dawn

Govt. will be justified if they crush these kind of people with full force and shos no mercy.

In the case of of Mehsood, people or tribe who are giving him protection by any mean are with him and need to be punished for protecting an animal, who lives on the blood of innocents.

Re: A letter in today's Dawn

Correction: If we are still not at war with him after much death and destruction, I don't know when we will. Same goes for him not being our enemy.

(Unless by we she meant her immediate family and not the nation as a whole)

Re: A letter in today's Dawn

These terrorists MUST be captured alive, then TORTURED TO DEATH!!!!!

Re: A letter in today's Dawn

A Plea for this savagery to stop.MAy Allah Mian give them a conscience...:(.
And
Inna Lillahe wa Ina Illah rajaooin

Re: A letter in today's Dawn

Exactly....very well said

Re: A letter in today's Dawn

will he read this in dawn? may be one of his comrades will read it and pass it on to him and he may have another excuse to justify this heinous crime against humanity.

Re: A letter in today's Dawn

That is the most sickening remedy which is/has already been tried. Always remember cruelty begets more cruelty. That is why there are more jehadis and sucidal bombers than they were decade ago. This is not the solution of this complicated matter.

Re: A letter in today’s Dawn

so childish

xyz believes that B.Masood did that so kill him

so childish

indians are enjoying as they are bombing and distracting people by blaming to B.Masood

Re: A letter in today's Dawn

May be it appears childish. May be it appears naive to expect a nameless and faceless killer will take a newspaper letter seriously. And no one really knows who is or isn't behind these attacks. But this is something written from the heart. And only those can appreciate it who have a heart. Few can understand the anguish and pain of losing someone to a senseless terrorist act. When someone you love losses his life on the hands of someone whom you have never met, never will and have no animosity with. When the only source of income in a family has is taken away. When young children are left orphaned because someone somewhere has a score to settle - and you have nothing to do with it.

My deepest sympathies to all those who suffered and continue to suffer in these terrorist attacks.

Whoever is responsible should be made to pay for all this pain and grief.

Re: A letter in today's Dawn

Many of our compatriots do not believe Mehsud can commit terrorism or that he is only taking revenge for alleged women and children killed by the army in operations. Truth is different, but many side with him.

Re: A letter in today's Dawn

Who is Masood? We are talking about Mehsud. He has beheaded many people. He is not Indian.
