1.Yes very funny answer. My elder brother told me this joke about 30 year ago. And I still remember it. Maray parents kay bhee kuch paisay za ya ho ga a kion k punjabi joke ko english main tranlate karna bohat muskil kaam hay.
2. Jo blank daali hai, does that mean that the answer is a 5-letter word? If yes, is it in English or Urdu?

Yes it is a squiggly line . Father is not tricking. He is not smart enough , he is seedha sadha dehati kisan. So he is testing the boy using his own limitted knowledge.
