‘India occupies 700 acres of Bangladeshi land’ Thursday 12-05-2005
DHAKA: India keeps under her occupation about seven hundred acres of Bangladeshi land in Panchagar, the northernmost district of Bangladesh, BDR sources say. Bangladesh cannot recover from Indian occupation a total of 694.48 acres of land under two upazilas of Panchagar. The proposals that BDR (Bangladesh Rifles) put forwarded for the recovery of this land, are yet to be implemented, sources complained. No step was taken to demarcate the land under the joint survey of concerned authorities of Bangladesh and India.
The Bangladeshi lands that India illegally keeps under its occupation are situated (157.48 acres) in Argee, Shikarpur, Khudipara, Kazaldighi, Parani villages under Panchagar Sadar Upazila and (537 acres) in Nowtari and Daikahta villages under Boda Upazil of Panchagar district. As a result, tension prevails all along in Panchangar frontier between BDR of Bangladesh and BSF (Border Security Forces). Rounds of meetings between district administrations and BDR and BSF failed to settle the dispute. app

oh, what happened? now you call pakistan defenceless? because if India took these acres (I doubt it btw) it was taken from pakistan (because at that time there was no bangla desh)

you insinuated that big bad Pakistan and its amazing missiles have made the Indian army pack its bags and head for Bangladesh (“forced Hindustan to occupy defenceless lands elsewhere”)
how does this make any sense? or was it just a failed attempt at humor on your part?

Hindustan has already occupied 45% of Kashmir (and it represses the innnocent Kashmiri people on daily basis) and also occupied the Siachin Glacier. If Pakistan hadn’t been sabre-rattling with it’s nukes for the last 6 years, Hindustan wouldn’t had to halt it’s plans in 2002.
However, as more and more Pakistani nukes are pointing at New Delhi, Hindustan has all but abandoned any further plans to occupy more Pakistani territory but instead is now looking at other non-nuclear areas.
It’s a cowardly act by Hindustan to target a defenceless Bangladesh.

India doesn’t want Pakistani Kashmir…it simply claims legal ownership of that land. “Azad Kashmir” is the scraps…India already has all the good parts of Kashmir.

^ since pakistanis and indians are of different racial stock..as most of people on gupshup would like to project, can we conclude that Indians are just basically smarter because of genetics than the pakistanis or do you think it has more to do with the environmental factors..oh..i don't know say interpretative religion or something.
