1- when people post asking for perspective or advice, please give people the benefit of doubt. Someone may be trolling or may be looking to get some additional perspectives.
Some of us may be lucky that we do not have to deal with tough issues, and some do. There is all kinds of situations out there.
I look around in my community, and in my family and see the choices people have to make and circumstances they have to deal with, and nothing I read in GS surprises me. In some cases an anonymous channel is one of the few that someone has.
2- to those who may troll. I can understand the kicks one can get horsing around. Just realize that someone who really could use a listening ear may not get it because they may get painted with the same broad strike.
Live long and prosper, use the force, hakuna matata and Rab Rakha.

I agree with OP. And also folks please stop acting so 'patronizing'; just because you are offering advice to others, doesn't make you better or smarter. My pet peeve is when people have to gloat and be smug and say 'oh, I have never done this/I wouldn't do that ever', when someone is stressing about their problems. It's very insensitive. And such an 'auntyish' behaviour'.

What are you talking about? That thinly-veiled preening is what makes me keep coming back, so inspirational!
ps. oh btw, are we getting a post on troll-shaming too?
