After two weeks of basic training, the drill sergeant lined up his troops and asked them each who they would like to spend an hour with if given the chance right now. Several soldiers answered their mothers, their girlfriends, etc. Then the sergeant came upon a unique answer.
Sergeant: Private, who would you most like to be alone with for an hour?
Private: My recruiter, sir!
i remeber the day when after calling me so many time and not be able to get in touch with me, the guy from marines came to my home. i told him i’ll see him in his office tomorrow. i went to his office and started getting me into marines and explaing what it is and that we’ll give you money, you’ll get money from government…i had had enough and i yelled at him in front of all other officers in that big office i do not need your money nor your government’s money. stop caling me now. that day and today, he never ever called me again and when sometimes now he sees me, he salutes me
