Pakistan cricket team has been a disappointment for the last few years. A number of controversies destroyed our faith in the game and our players. But i think with the new management in place and a new captain (and i have heard some very good things about them), things can really change. If we can resolve issues of some of the players, i think we can have a very well balanced team. If we can get yousuf, razaq and a couple of other players well, we can have a very strong team:
A possible team could be:
1)Salman Butt
2)Asim Kamal (has a very healthy test average compared to other openers tried)
3)Younis Khan He, and the following two can make a solid middle order
4)Muhammad Yousuf
5)Mibahul Haq
6)Shoaib Malik
7)Abdul Razaq
8)Shahid Afridi
9)Kamran Akmal
10)Sohail Tanvir
11)Muhammad Asif (very talented but wasting himself. could be groomed)
12)Shoaib Akhtar (should be better managed)
13)Umar Gul
14)Saqlain Mushtaq (possibly)
Finding a new Wicketkeeper batsman (possibly someone who can open as well) and a quality spinner (I don’t think kaneria is that good) is the need of the hour.
