I don't care what anyone says or does. But this is gupshup.org and we talk abou things and respond to posts. That's what this forum is about. About educating people about Islam, I answered that in my posts. Read it..

You must obviously have a soft spot for MMA or might be a member. ....................In Pakistan the MMA is the religious polictical group. PPP or PML or any other significant party is not. While all the big parties in Pakistan want laws based on Islam the MMA want an Islamic system which they define. Hence they are and should be viewed critically..

I have no soft corner for them or even a remote relation with them but aren't you the one who are so infatuated by them that you could not discuss or condemn evil doers without dragging MMA in it?
So any party which does not have religious platform can do all evil work on ground or let it happen and still be justified?
Isn't it the same 'bias' I was mentioning about you earlier?

Its everyone's responsibility including YOU sir to change the attitude and show people the correct version of Islam and its social and moral expectations from a society.

That is so funny. Isn't MMA part of the government. Who is running the NWFP province? MMA members of parliament were the ones who organized these protests. How do you even refute fact like this?.

Like you have been mentioned by another member, MMA and Govt. were not side by side but were opposite in many respects on cartoon issue. Please be informed and then discuss. If it was just an omission on your part its OK but you keep posting your wrong views again and again.

Who really gives a rats ass about the international media. What are they to this story. Media is a business. I am talking about what happened to Mukhtar Mai..

contradiction #1: Well you are the one who praised international media and not you don't give a rat ass about that. Which one is your exact position?

My posts don't drag Pakistan as a whole or religious people into this. Fact is local law was responsible for this crime. .................... That is my point..

Contradiction # 2: You absolutely deny that you did not drag religion into this issue...but you did say 'religious extremism' in your earlier post (like a parrot).......... for which I asked you not to drag religion in this matter.

What is your exact position Mr.?

When did you hear MMA people that this is islamic to rape a woman like that?

At least you now say that its a local law. Just to correct that..its an 'unwritten' law and I agree it needs to be eliminated and more people be punished for humanity crimes like this.

Do you want to continue dragging religion, religious parties etc. or can we have the discussion outside that?

I have said what I needed to say on this topic. Because you cannot understand what I am writing is not my problem. You keep twisting words and ignoring the point I am making. So be it. I will summarize what I have said above and move on.

In some inter tribal or clan (samething) dispute, Mukhtar Mai was made a victim and raped. This poor and helpless woman was discarded off while Pakistani justice looked the other way. The media picks up the story and now the president is embarrased. Some comments are made by the president but justice is never given. The rulers hope she will just die off and they won't have to deal with this. Yet this woman fights back and gains some dignity, albeit some posters here find that disturbing that a woman would do that. Now the MMA reference. It was merely to point out that when it comes to things like cartoons, music, women ads, etc. the MMA shows how much it cares but when it comes to rape, abuse, etc. they are silent. I picked on the MMA because they are the most passionate when it comes to such topics.

I have said what I needed to ..........such topics.

Wish you had just posted the condemnation without bringing anyone into discussion including religion, irrelevant events such as cartoons....... and any other person/group who was not involved or who did not even support the event.

In order to have better result of condemnation/discussion, one has to stick to the point as much as possible. Ocassional stray thoughts are OK as long as correction is made once pointed out.
