if they dont live in pakistan then what's the use of debating pakistani politics, leave that to the people that actually work there and live there every day of their lives.

arguing over issues that dont really effect you directly or are really none of their concern and then having the argument totally blown out of proportion where one is crying b/c of what the other said in the heat of moment doesnt make any sense.

tell them to kiss and make up and then fairly debate the politics of whichever country they live in if they're both abcds or expatriates :P

^I agree about not arguing over things which make no sense but every healthy relationship needs to have boundaries so they can discuss whatever they wish within limits.

right but there must be some ground rules that need to be set like in any relationship. maybe they should discuss the rules that they make up themselves for having a healthy, fair debate and the lines that must not be crossed and always keep self respect and respect for the other person's own opinions in mind when discussing anything. she should discuss all this with him,hopefully he'll agree. Communication is so important in a relationship we're all different and we all have flaws so we all need to be a bit more flexible, less stubborn about having our own way.....i think that's the key in a successful relationship, flexibility and wanting or caring enough to change/adjust for the sake of having a strong bond......

i'm working on that flexibility thing myself :D
