A guy that needs help

So the last wedding I attended was in 1992 I think. Not sure I was a kid. Since then haven’t attended any desi affairs and with mine down the road I want wrap my head around the entire wedding situation in Pakistani society. So I seek your advice. I am a fish out of water literally. From what I know of Pakistani weddings they are a week if not month long affair. You have the Mehndi, nikkah, shadi and the walima. As for what all of these entail I am just plain confused.

I know that each portion of Pakistani society has various traditions or rasams. You all of course would recommend that I speak to my family with regard to what our personal family traditions are. And to be honest we don’t have any that I know off and more so I am not that big any of them. But if the Mrs wants something it shall happen. However till then I want to get a basic understanding of what each day/function/celebration entails.

If someone is willing I would really appreciate it if you could describe the duties of both the grooms side and brides side of the family for whatever general functions we have the Pakistani wedding process.

Thus when the exact details come up I can at least provide the Mrs a sounding board without asking really stupid questions

1992!!!

Faints

Re: A guy that needs help

1992 seriously? Even Pakistan won another cricket world cup after 1992 and Imran Khan started 2 more cancer hospitals in Karachi and Peshawar.

You can make your life easier by just doing what Mrs says… for the peaceful life afterwards do not make her alter her plans… or try to be innovative… because
