Re: a good cheap sunscreen?

I don't know if I would be comfortable wearing a lower cost sunscreen on my face, especially if I am prone to blemishes.

Have you spoken to the cosmetic counter lady for recommendations/consultation?

Which one do you currently use, Nadz?

I have been wearing Neutrogena sunblock for the past 3 years or so without any major complains. It does not break me out, isn't shiny or greasy, doesn't leave a white cast but that is only if you use use SPF 30 or 45 because I bought SPF 70 for my hands and feet and they did turn yucky pale, and is breeze to wash off. However, I THINK I still get a tiny little bit of tan despite of having a good layer of SPF on and that concerns me because I'm highly prone to hyper-pigmentation.

I'm actually looking forward to try out Clarins SPF 40 or so. I've heard pretty good reviews for that product but its price is quite steeper than Neutrogena, which is retailed at $12 or so, and I'll be using it only for face and neck.

P.S. Man, do I regret buying Shiseido sunscreen. It's crazy expensive and leaves me looking like a white ghost although I have a quite fair complexion. $55 went straight down the drain.

May I ask which one do you use, Muzna?

i use dermalogica which is around 35pounds, id prefer something alot cheaper, maybe even 10 to 15 pounds......any more guys?

Do they sell Eucerin or Aveeno in the UK? Eucerin has a good one for sensitive skin at an SPF 30. About $7 in the US so I imagine around 14 pounds in the UK? Aveeno is brand that's also well known for being gentle on skin. They too have sunscreen versions of their moisturizers.

Re: a good cheap sunscreen?

u can try spectraBAN that is spf 40 by stiefel its 50 ml for 690PKRS.i use it n its good actually matt finish.

Re: a good cheap sunscreen?

cheap ones won't give u enuf protction plus they carry no anti-oxidants and cause more damage to skin. try either Coppertone SPF#70+ Nutrashield Face or Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defense Spf 50. they r economical, they hav anti-oxidants in them. r non-greasy n fragrance free. if even cheaper like Banana Boat use vitC or E b4 applying it. U don't wanna use a sunscreen that causes free radicals n destroy u skin in the long run.
best bet run to nearby pharmacy n ask them

Try and avoid very cheap products for skincare. Especially if u plan on using it on u're face. Try one from the range Mabrook has mentioned.

Re: a good cheap sunscreen?

i don't know...i Guess cheap works fine as well. I used nutragena, i got whitehead...stiefel sunblock 60 is natural and doesn't cause irritation. It's much cheaper and better. However, do you think ti would clog my pores? Any experience with it

Re: a good cheap sunscreen?

You mean for the face?

I have recently fallen in love with Eucerine’s face moisturizer with SPF 30 http://www.eucerinus.com/products/face_eplotion.html .
Aveeno also has one that I used for a long time, also SPF30 http://www.aveeno.com/facialcare/positively-radiant-daily-moisturizer-spf30 .

Both good and not too expensive.
