My other cousin (whose sister fainted) was crying when his daughter was born..Even my mom says now, daughters are better, there’s no difference in term s of education/work/supporting you etc etc.. and they take care of their parents emotionally too.. i have a cousin who says she hopes her nxt kid is a boy (she alreayd has a son) simply coz society is easier to guys.. and as much as it pisses me off, i feel sorry for her.. but then again, i think, if ure gonna let stupid ppl push you around and tell you how to raise ur kid (tell you that daughter is afsos or something) well nothing is ever gonna be good for ya.. I dunno.. :sara:

Trust me I was born after 4 boys. Everyone in the family, nani-nana, dada, phupho, my older brothers everyone prayed hard to have a baby girl :slight_smile:

Yes, Alhumdulillah, am the lucky one, my whole family was very happy upon my birth :slight_smile: and they all love me the most :slight_smile:

i was born after much prayer and three brothers, so my parents never had to go through with that crap, but my brothers first kid was a girl, and i remeber my aunt saying that its probably because they didn’t pray hard enough for a boy!!
i love my niece and i am glad that my sister-in-law had a girl, cause there more fun to dress up :blush: :snooty:

i dont think people hate havin girls oposin to have a son, its abt a society norm to say damn they got a girl....why sons are important so they carry ur family name, and care for u when ur older...besides i think people have realized to find spouses for their girls is going to be generally harder in these times, when the ratio of women and men, is growin higher and higher...

Before the advent of Islam ARABS were use to bury the baby girl as soon as she was opening the eyes and they kept ready the hole beforehand.
