He prefers to go through friends and acquaintances. Infact he wasnt keen on me mentioning that he was a doctor (because he knows how some parents just go after that), but I told him it wouldnt be good to lie either. smile

On a serious note, I hope you or your friend finally find a nice person for him provided he is worth it. :-) I know this matchmaking is a very risque business but if your intentions are all good and the parites know that than nothing can deter you. One of my friend got engaged to the brother of another friend of mine through my reference. However, that didnt last long. But alhumdollilah to this day both families and my friends call me and take out time to see me. Its the 'neeat' that counts, the rest is upto God.

I think thats something good. I know people who wants to know abt your visa status, the kind of job one can get with such qualifications.. inshort whether she can support the dude/s while he is doing his residency, not even realizing whether the other party is interested or not. I personally feel that just like in gulf countries they call everyone HINDIs coz of disrespect, the desi word is used by us for self-disrespect...
