A fresh start for Pak Film Industry?

This film seems promising since it is directed by Shoib Mansoor. Check out the website and the story.

I wonder where will I be able to get a DVD for it.

Re: A fresh start for Pak Film Industry?

thanks for the website :) This is Shoaib Mansoor's "Khuda ke liye" which has been in the making for 2-3 years now. Should be releasing soon I hope!

Re: A fresh start for Pak Film Industry?

Yaar 1 film can't change the whole Industry's faltering Image. Depends where they go from here.

Re: A fresh start for Pak Film Industry?

Re: A fresh start for Pak Film Industry?

Actually a movie CAN change the industry. Most of the movie industry follow ... if there is a successful movie - they will follow it (even it means to make quality film - to make money)

Our (Paki) bigger problem is that, this is not religiously accepted and we cannot come to terms with "difference of opinion" (regardless how right or wrong an opinion is) . Even if someone starts making quality films - next gov't, some religious party, angry mob, ... will come and crash all that was built ...

Hence its not worth investing into it :)

Re: A fresh start for Pak Film Industry?

With the Lal Masjid seige and operation, this movie might get more publicity than expected.

God has good timing.

I disagree on one thing though: Yeh Dil Aap Ka Hua did record business, and no similar successes followed.
