it’s evident more than ever that our political parties alarmingly lack leadership hierarchy. having said that, today we witnessed a new chapter being included in our history. Future of Pakistan’s largest political party seems bleak since their party is structured around Bhutto family. Same goes with PML and minor political parties like MQM, JUI & TI etc etc. Only Jama-e-Islami has some sort of political structure in place. it’s a shame that even after 60 years of independence we can’t come up with an organised political system, where IDEOLOGY has preference over personalities.

given that, you can see why the political system in Pakistan as in the rest of the world is so hell bent on killing and nepotism.
the worsyt kind of injustice erupts as happened to Benazir's life, that money and power overtook conscience of those who plotted to kill her like this. or it was fear of the outside enemy, basically, american govt.
and the silent, self-centered or afraid rest of the Muslim nations and govts cannot do anything.
india, as the biggest enemy is right the next door neighbor, that nation and its people, perhaps, if bad, are going to make the move to hurt the independence and credibility of Pakistani internal affairs, together with outside malicious support.
forget the parties of men. they are all about feeding there kids with haraam. that is why they re speechless now. only a woman can dare to be brave enough to do what Benazir withstood - exhile, loss of her father, brother, and now her own life.
it is not like she is a puppet of the west. wst could have very well tried to train her. but we all know, she is a strong woman and spoke her mind.
excellent point, but missed the timing tragically that where ideology has preferences over personalities.
this is a fundamental question that when answered, can infact prove to be the difference of life and death of a nation-state.

Just to give credit where its due, actually she used a quote coined by Benjamin Disraeli, who stated that Britain had (or 'nations have' depending on which source you look up) no permanant friends or permanent enemies but only permanent interests.
