A first time shopping experience

I went to the perfumes shop I think its called La Perfume or something? in Park Towers, Clifton…this is the like the most trendy and expensive mall in khi…plus my friend [and soon to be guppie ] told me that i will get original stuff there…so I got a cologne from there…for Rs 1800…

The uncle was offerring discounts on all colognes not not that one so I asked him uncle is mein bhee aap discount karein please  he said nai is mein nai hota…so I was like ok ji and paid 1800…

then on the way home I suddenly remembered my brother telling me that there are perfume shops in Clifton Center too…[near Schon circle]…so I was like lemi check the price out there too…so I went there…and the same perfume was for 1600

200 rupees cheaper

I asked the shopkeeper k mein abhee Park Towers se ye 1800 kee le ke aai hoon…aap kee dukaan mein why is it cheaper? He’s like bas wo log to lootTay haen coz they r sitting in Park Towers…I’m like but kehte haen wahan kee original kee guarantee hoti hae…he’s like ham das saal se idhar perfumes baych rhay haen woh dukaan to abhee do saal pehle khuli hae kehne ko to koi kuch bhee keh sakta hae…

So I was like hmmmmmm and then I went back to Park Towers, and that perfume shop and told that uncle, k uncle, ye perfume to mein clifton center mein 1600 kee dekh k aai hoon…

the uncle was like so u want to return it? I’m like haanji…he got angry and said aap kee marzi aap jahan se bhee lo is tarhaan to aap ko yai perfume 1200 kee bhee mil jayay gi saddar se, lekin hamari dukaan kee guarantee hoti hae…and gave me my money back :o

I dint take it, i asked him uncle naraz na hon, aap please mujhay samjhayein aakhir aap ye 200 mehngi kyun baych rhay haen? he’s like ye meri dukaan nai hae, its a franchise and this is our price and our stuff is original, buy it if you want and normally we dont return stuff, pointing to a sticket there that said ‘no return once purchased’ but here is your money back he said giving me the money.

I felt bad then and I was like nah uncle its okay I’ll keep it

But that whole experience was kinda weird

wo kyun?

Seriously. You are too nice. You should have just taken RS 200 from him and retained the perfume. All happy.

want better prices on colognes? go to daffodils in rabi center on tariq road, and tell the owner shahid saleem that kami sent you there.

why pay so much more for the identical thing in clifton :)

Faisal bhai nai itni nice nai hoon :D asal mein woh guarantee of original perfume wali baat bhee thee na and he was not going to give a discount that was for sure, he was either gona sell it for 1800 or not sell it...

Fraudia bhai thank u G next time might do this :D waose can i be sure that daffodils perfumes are original? i trusted this shop in park towers coz its a franchise..warna ab to suna hae Agha's mein bhee fake cheesain mil rai haen...

How do you know that the perfume is original? If you can't tell anyway, then why pay extra for a "guarantee"?

Its just a selling ploy.

The difference between an original and fake can not be just Rs 200. Had someone offered you the same perfume for, say, Rs 500... that would be fake. But Rs 200 extra... that was just Park Tower premium. :-P

Irem

The guy is very honest, you can be guaranteed authentic merchandise.

Faisal bhai so i made a foolish decision? :o thats what my friend was teling me too
but koi nai, atleast i can show off i got it from park towers :hehe:

Fraudia bhai i c  thanks

Hahaha… right. Carry the receipt in your purse everytime you wear the perfume. Anyone compliments you on the nice perfume, immediately dig into your purse and show them the receipt -“Park Tower!!!”. :k:

:hehe: Faisal bhai, aap bhool gayay, Pakistan and receipts? imagine, 200 extra cost, and not even a receipt to show off with :smack:

btw it wasnt for me, it was for my papa ji, today, 21 apr, was his birthday

O-ho!!!!! Happy Birthday to your Papa!!!!!

Birthday per tau jaiz hai 200 ruppay ki fazool kharchi..

Mubarak ho..

thanQ Faisal bhai :) i will definitely convey it to him :) he knows who you are coz i've talked about you and he has even seen your and bhabi's pics from my graduation pix too :D :)

Irem you have the same shopping habits as my mom:), I on the other hand would've just kept the expensive perfume.

 Iremmmmmmmmm can’t believe ma eyez m readin dat coz i had da same exp in da same Hugo shop wid da same uncle n aunt couple, m n faaiza( a collegue of mine ) went there 2 buy sum gift 4 another colleguez of ours n our qismat k v landed in dat unkil n auntie’s shop. gotta Boss Hugo in 2100/- frm em n then chkd out another shop just in front of it ( da 1s dat’s beside Aijazz) n 2 our horror it was 1800/- v went back instantly 2 da uncle’s shop n asked wat specialty their perfumez hv ??? :hoonh: n they given us da same story of being a franchise n all dat :smack: 300/- in name of Brand Value :crying:

khayr by experience i can say dat all da Frenchize stores hv gotta same xpensive price tagz while other not so reputed outlets like daffodilz n saffron wagaira charge 2-300 less but there quality is a big question mark na. a friend of mine got allergy after using Etude lipstix frm saffron ( pata nahi kitna purana maal rakha hua tha wahan per :grumpy: ) even then da stupid dukkan walay didn’t accepted their mistake; baychari anny had 2 visit da dermatologist 4 whole 2 monthz 2 get rid of it :bummer:

seema - whoa  yaar jab mein gai thee toh woh bas safayd daarhi wale uncle thay..aunty to nai thee udhar…
that sucks abt ur friend and the lipstick…my God  yaar us ne ja k dukaan mein rola nai dala…its gets me so mad when they sell substandard stuff arghhh

pakimariyam…yaar i did keep the expensive perfume just coz it was prolly original :smack:

You're gonna be eaten alive Irem, being a Pakistani it should be in your genes to bargain :p unless ofcourse cough coming to the bad bad N.America has taken the desi out of the desun :p Ok really, you have to develop a spine cuz every Akbar, Babar and Qadri has a sob story much like the one you were fed by the "poor honest" shopkeeper.

Coconut ^^ :hehe: I did try to bargain bro usually do coz otherwise you can get badly badly ripped off…I got bargaining in my genes from my dad, believe me he is prolly one of the best bargainers in Pakistan  :mash:

I need to know how to bargain. They can tell I’m not ‘pakistani’ and I always get ripped off :teary1:
DOuble keemat mein bechte hain mujhe and mein phir bhie kehtee wah kitni sasti milli :stuck_out_tongue:

:bummer:
I bought a scarf in the uk for a freakin 89 POUNDS
89 pounds is something like 125 euro I think which is 8000 roepees

for a stupid scarf

I dont know how to bargain so I dont
I either bring some one allong, or I just pay the full price

Shinoo - aww  lemi start a new thread on that :hehe:

Prat - hey great to see you back bro  how are you doing? how is it going?
