Following are the top performers of Pakistani domestic cricket 2001-02 season .. irony is …not even a single cricketer is represented in the national squad (at the moment)! Give and take that most of the national players are busy in oversees and international matches .. but how one can explain Afridi, Taufeeq, Malick (I think he has the potential of being a good one day utility player) … what is the purpose of having domestic cricket any way http://www.jang.com.pk/thenews/index.html

I'd like to see Imran Farhat, Fazle Akbar and Hasan Raza around the team. They're all good players and have done their time out in the wilderness. Lets get them in now!

I remember Raza on his or about his debut. He scored some 40 runs albeit against Zimbabwe. He was very impressive even then with his temperament. He got out to a very good ball from Strang that match. Heard he's also a very good fielder, plus he's captaincy experience on all sorts of junior levels.

About Imran Farhat and Nazir, I don't get what the PCB is upto. They're dropped because they're too adventurous and have shaky techniques. What about Afridi opening for us then???

Afridi should only be playing if he have Hanifs and Miandads all over the order to ensure his ill-timed fireworks won't light up his own team in flames.
