Indeed. Yes, from what I have seen...in the east the parties are usually divided into mens tent and womens tent. The men drink till they either puke or pass out. Denying that they're drinking and attempting to hide the fact from the women.
In the west, people can (and do) have a beer or a cocktail and stop there.
So if that makes me a freak then I'm ok with that lol!
More important though, is the fact of honesty here. This potential rishta is hugely upfront and honest which is a rare and beautiful trait no matter what culture he's from.
