Can u please tell me where i have written that a muslim is ordered to hate non muslims themselves? please read it carefully you are doing reading mistakes i think. I have clearly said that muslims are ordered to hate the non beleiving attitude and refusal of Allah (SWT)'s commandments, not to hate the followers themselves, and please tell me that if there is no difference between the beleifs of muslims and non beleivers and if the non beleiving attitude and refusal of Allah’s commandments is not hated by Allah, then what were the GHAZVAS faught for and why the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) faught battles alongwith his Sahaba-e-Karam(RA) against the non beleivers, becoz Allah (SWT) loves the non beleiving attitude and refusal of his commandments by the non beleivers?** why there is also an order of jihad in Quran? **and why Allah (SWT) has warned in Quran of punishments in case of following kufar? Why he had not revealed Ayahs of reward for non beleivement and doing things against his commandments also?

On the other hand, if you talk about these two Ayah that Their religion is for them and ur religion is for you, and also another Ayah that There is no compulsion in religion, then mam these 2 Ayats are only to tell the muslims that a muslim cannot forcefully convert non muslim to Islam, but whenever anyone converts to Islam, then he or she must follow all the rules and regulations of Islam, and once you enter Islam, if you leave ur religion then u will be considered a traitor and your punishment will be same like a traitor gets.

Moreover, if you also argue that to give punishments for leaving Islam is a brutal thing and its totally one’s private matter then im sorry to say then it happens in all religion, whenever a christian in pakistan will convert to Islam then what do think they will give flowers to the ex-christian? they will consider em a traitor and punish them.

So, for a non muslim, it is not a compulsion to convert to Islam and you cannot forcefully convert him to your religion, but as soon as he will become a muslim, then he or she must follow all the rules and regulations that are ordered by Allah Almighty. and if a muslim leaves Islam, then he or she is considered a Murtad and is given punishment.

First of all, I must say this is the one of the most serious topics I’ve ever seen in Cafe.

Coming to your questions, Ghazwaat were a retaliation / defensive wars against the wars imposed on Muslims and challeging writ of Muslim rulers. In the particular situation, you are referring to, there is no such challenge. India is not a muslim country where behavior of some rotten eggs challenge writ of Islam and you have to wage a war on those.

Inter-religion marriages is not a new phenomenon in sub continent. It goes back to Akbar-Jodha Bai marriage or probably even before that. Yes Quran does opposes such marriages and consider it illegal. No parents from other religion want that their children marry in different religions.

In short: Generalisation is not a good policy based on some rotten eggs and when you want respect for your religion then you have to respect feelings for followers of other religions. Period.
