A Cry from Gujurat

Address from Moinuddin Ahmed, from India

‘‘I found out how my daughter and her baby had been killed after I went to the Shah Alam relief camp. They could have killed me and spared my pregnant daughter, an option I would have consulted with them, this would have been acceptable to me, even if they took my earnings of Rs 4,000 a month, being a paint contractor and two houses in Naroda Patiya which I then had, but they took my newly wedded daughter, they took my child, my princess’’

‘‘My daughter got married only last year. This would have been her first child. And they did not even allow it to come into this world.’’

Kausar was married to Shahid, they stayed with me. They tell me Shahid is alive, but nobody at Shah Alam knows his whereabouts, even if he is, the reminisce of Kauser will make him a living dead.

My neighbors, who were also at the relief camp, remember Kausar, they’ll tell you she was a quiet person, who would speak only when spoken to’’. ‘‘She wasn’t educated, but she had learnt diamond-cutting and polishing. In my family only me, my son-in-law and my wife’s sister’s son are the only survivors from a family of 12.

A day before the massacre, I took my Kausar to Kalupur Hospital for a medical check-up. She was complaining of pain. The doctor said she was likely to deliver in a day or two.

On February 28, I was leaving for work when I heard loud shouts outside. We all tried to flee. A mob surrounded me like a predator traps it’s prey, then smacked me with sticks and tried to douse me with petrol.

I managed to escape and reach a nearby dhaba (small shop/eatery), where I lost consciousness.

28 hours later I gained my consciousness, I dwindled back to see….. only ruins. Some policemen escorted me to a nearby chawl (run-down housing units), from where I was brought to the relief camp.’’ Reshma bano, one of my neighbours, says she witnessed Kausar’s killing.

As Kausar was being dragged out of her home, she kept screaming, pleading with the mob to take away her money, her valuables, but spare her and her unborn child. My daughter tried to bargain the life of her unborn child against her possessions, a trade that you would never have wanted to engage in.

But they pulled out the baby and threw it into the fire along with Kausar’s body. When her mother tried to intervene, she was burnt as well. When an old man hears all this, won’t he be affected?’’

This is to put a face to the brutal story of Kausar Bano, to give a voice to her 70-year-old father Khaliq Noor Mohammad Sheikh. He didn’t see the mobs slitting Kausar’s womb with a sword, dragging out the unborn child that nestled within her and burning both in Naroda Patiya on February 28. He had fainted — when he woke up, he couldn’t even find the charred remains of Kausar Bano and her unborn child.

• This is not an isolated incident, a few kilometres away from Ahmedabad, out of the public eyes, in islotaed villages, Muslim families who fled to other safer areas in Gujarat when they wanted to return to their home villages. The Hindu villages did not allow them to return to their villages until they apostasised from islam and accept to become Hindus.

Noor Mohammed, a farmer, from Raichha in western Gujarat state (60 miles east of ahmmdabaad) will tell you
"They told us we can go back to the village only if we change our religion and become Hindus

“We will give up our lives but we will never give up our religion.”

• History has repeated itself several times in the last 50 years:

In 1992, thousands of Muslims were killed in the incident related to the Babri masjid in Ayodhya, this sparked mass genocide slaughter of muslims all over India.

In 1969 ahmedabad, the same happened.

• The common reason for all these massacres and slaughter is no surprise since the 250 million muslims in India have no protection and are isolated politically , un-unified like everywhere else. It is because of the absence of islam and the Khilafah state.

• Despite all of this, the muslims of India live in hope and wait for the day where they will be rescued and merged under the banner of Islamic unity.

• The muslims of India have realise the solution to these massacres, and to reject being unified under the banner of Hindutva and Indian nationalism and to be integrated within Indian society.

• I recall speaking to a brother, an engineer, a father of two, but more than anything a Muslim a carrier of the dawaah, who after coming to England in the mid 90’s interacted with the call for khilafah, went back to his city and started to work and propagate this message day and night.

• Hadith—this ummah is one ummah, land is one, war is one

• The situation is clear….that the muslims of India, will truly be liberated from the rapists and idol worshippers once the khilafah will be establish inshallah. Then we will realise the meaning of the words of our beloved messenger (saw) where he said:

ÅäãÇ ÇáÅãÇã ÌõÜäøóÜÉ íõÜÞÇÊÜóá ãä æÑÇÆå æíõÜÊøóÜÞì Èå
End

both hindua and muslims shoud be indians first since both of them dont have anyother country to go to. nobody will solve the problem excpet
themselves. hinduvata or kahlifa are idiotic idea wont work.we are not living in middle ages.

Indian Muslims could have migrated to Pakistan, they could have done it but they chose not to. Means they choose to live their lives that way. How can a Khalifah state help them, if they dont want to help themselves?

In the same was as USA is helping you in New York. Your profile says u are un USA, why? its a non-muslim country, so why stay there.

UK and Germany also houses millions of muslims - they are 100 times better off than in countries like Pakistan.

Similarly Indian Muslims have far better life in India than in Pakistan (where the country is bankrupt).

Rahul

Before blabbering foolishly, I suggest you get to grip with real facts about India and Pakistan:

India - according to the World Bank:

With a per capita gross national product (GNP) of US$440 in 1999, India continues to have the highest concentration of poverty of any country. According to World Bank figures, India currently has some 433 million people living on less than US$1 a day.

India's poverty, as measured in non-income indicators such as health and education, is also of international proportions. About 20 percent of the world's total out-of-school children (age 6-14) are in India.

Almost half of all children under the age of four are malnourished and 30 percent of newborns are significantly underweight

Many Indian women are malnourished, and 60 percent are anemic. Bias against women and girls is reflected in the demographic ratio of 927 females for every 1,000 males. In India, unlike most countries, more women than men die before the age of 35. Maternal deaths in India account for almost 25 percent of the world's child birth-related deaths.

India remains the largest pool of polio infection in the world.

Pakistan - according to the World Bank

In 2000/2001, despite a severe drought, GDP grew by 2.7 percent while inflation remained low at 4.4 percent. The budget deficit was contained at 5.3 percent of GDP compared with 6.5 percent for the previous year.

Only 40 percent of Pakistan's population is literate, compared to an average of 64 percent of the population in countries with similar income per capita.

Poverty remains a serious concern in Pakistan. With a per capita gross national income (GNI) of US$440, poverty rates, which had fallen substantially in the 1980s and early 1990s.

Pakistan has grown much more than other low-income countries, but has failed to achieve social progress commensurate with its economic growth. While infant mortality and female illiteracy rates declined by 73 and 60 percent, respectively, from 1960 to 1998 for countries that grew at about the same rate, in Pakistan the declines were of the order of 43 and 20 percent, correspondingly.

And you were saying better off and bankrupt?

Asalaam Alikum

First of all there is NO KHILAFAH at the moment.

Second point, history bears witness that the only time muslims and hindus lived in harmony was when the KHILAFAH existed in the indian sub continent.

fact of the matter is that the largest democarcy in the world cannot provide harmony between people of different beliefs.

Even the so called civilised the USA, UK etc cannot provide a system where people of different race's,cultures, colours can live in harmony.
The way Afor-carribean are treated in USA, the way muslims are treated in the West. The clear cut reailty is ,the West cannot even look after its own people yet the go around telling other nations what to do and how do things.

*Second point, history bears witness that the only time muslims and hindus lived in harmony was when the KHILAFAH existed in the indian sub continent. *

When was that? I am sorry if I missed that part of history of the sub-continent or do you consider the Mughal dynasty Khilafat?

You should be careful making claims like these as it only looks bad on your own self but also it reflects very badly on the group you represent.

Your father wears Salwar Kameez

The 'era' you are talking about was only for 3 years (712-715), which was more geared towards conquests northwards than anything else. Later Muhammad Bin Qasim was sent back on the order of Hijaz Bin Yousaf, the governer of Kufa and was brutally killed in a prison.

Later the governors who established law & order recognized the Umayyad Khilafat as a lip service & lost the modern day north Punjab to a Hindu Raja.

Regardless of the above, most 'Hindu' historians do not consider that "era" anything peaceful. Instead they consider Muhammad Bin Qasim & those that followed as tyrants. There was a thread before on this issue where an Indian guppie ZZ explained the Hindu side of the story.
