Djibouti, in africa around Red sea. Muslim population, language french and arabic. And here is another bit of interest.
In April 2000 experts estimated some 150,000 people, or more than one-quarter of the population, needed food aid. The United Nations agreed to spend $2.7 million to increase the city of Djibouti's port facilities since it is a crucial regional grain terminus. In 2002, Djibouti became a key U.S. military base used to combat terrorism. In 2005, President Guelleh, the only candidate, was reelected.

Benin (not a big surprise, my Africa Geography is horrible)
This West African nation btwn Togo on the west and Nigeria on the east. Dahomey what this region was called was established in 1625. ON Aug. 1, 1960, Dahomey was granted its independence within the Community.
The name Benin commemorates an African kingdom that flourished from the 15th to the 17th century in what is now southwest Nigeria. In 1990, Benin abandoned Marxist ideology, began moving toward multiparty democracy, and changed its name again, to the Republic of Benin.
