A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab & Surah An-Nur (in regards to hijab) (merged)

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

it’s funny how people ignore that some rules apply to men as well.

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

Actually I was quoting you, so that is what you must believe. I believe women are equal to men and to function in modern society, hold jobs and interact with the human race your bullet pointed list is outdated by a few centuries.

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

So believe what you believe, And I’ll believe and tell my sisters to believe what I believe. ok?

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

You are going to **tell **your sisters what to believe? You are still stuck in that patriarchal mentality.

You never addressed the issue that if women are not to speak to men except for mahram, are you not commiting unlawful acts here on gupshup? Are you mahram to these 'sisters' you are telling what to do?

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

  1. yes i’m stuck in that mentality, if i accept it, why keep bringing it up? :expressionless:

  2. Its permissible for me to talk here on gupshup, as long as I don’t cross the bounds of shariah.

And the purpose of this thread speaks for that.

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

  1. ummmm, because it is archaic and cultural? Because you can't expect any respect from people who are not stuck in that outdated mentality where men rule and women are meek.

  2. So shariah distinguishes between talking to women in person and on internet?

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

  1. Its ok I don’t mind

  2. For someone who doesn’t believe in Islam, why must I explain the Shariah to you?

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

Cressi lol  tum bhi na…
It doesnt mean if he doesnt believ in Islam u dnt explain the shariah.
He/she has a point…

:ps wanna use my hammer cz i will:

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

He is only preaching his religion and theirs nothing wrong with that. I wonder what mentality ur stuck in :p.

Men and women are allowed to speak to each other as long as u do not break the rules of the islamic shariyah. He is not a mahram i agree, but he’s within his bounds and if he is not then he is aware of his lord watching.

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

No need for the sympathy cz its just NOT NEEDED. Theirs is nothing to be ashamed off. It is a womens fault if a man is lustin after her. If ur gonna get out the house looking like a christmas tree, and with the walk similiar to the one at a strip show and u luk as if uv just decended from the 7th heaven astaghfirullah then yes it is ur fault. If a women gets raped by a man in this circumstance then i do not blame the man i’ll blame the women.

Allah has provided mankind with certain directions and instructions, if a women thinks she’s more educated and can do better by reforming the rules and regulations, then she can suffer the consequence as well.

When a theory or a statement is given it has a reason. Until today people prove their illetracy by readin the top line & not thinkin twice about the second line or the reason behind. So please next time wen making a comment ensure u have the full information and are aware of the background.

‘Honorable crap’ or save u the time of embarassment? Im a muslim girl alhamdulilah and i am proud of my religion and the status it has given me. No religion gives a status more higher then what Islam entittles to it’s women. The best benefector of mankind Prophet Muhammed (s) died in the lap of his wife. This emphasises the status he gave to his wife. Allah has layed heaven under the feet of a mother. Which other GOD of ne other religion shows so much love and respect towards a womens status.

Read the History u’ll be surprised of what u’ll encounter.

‘Plain and simple’ yes with other religions but not with Islam.

Ne thing gud obtained from here is blessed by Alah, and anything bad is from shaitan.
If i have offended any one in any way i appologise.

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

  1. Its not out dated. The points he is givin is refrenced. The quran is centuries old but has mentioned many scientfic facts, which sceintists are now discovering. Baring this in mind his source is perfectly more than up 2 date.

I did not see it stated any wher ‘men rule and women are meek’ :hoonh: This is called protection and respect for its women. A term which ur not aware of yet.

  1. Shariah is divine law it has an answer for evrything. And talkin on internet is perfectly acceptable as long as you do not cross the boundry.

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

such as what?

i did
e.g 1 one man’s testimony=two women’s testimony

e.g 2 from divine shariah: rape not proven till 4 pious men guarantee it

e.g. 3 women get half of what men get in inheritance

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

i also saw it implied in what you said…

that a woman deserves to get raped for dressing like a christmas tree??? please realize that rape is a crime and not a punishment for dressing a certain way. look up “rape” it means “against a person’s consent” think about it. IT IS RAPE IF IT IS AGAINST HER CONSENT. she did NOT ask for it.

yeah a man CAN go up to a woman walking like a stripper and ask her how much she’ll charge or whatever…u can say he mistook her intentions…STILL IT DOESNT MEAN HE HAS THE RIGHT TO RAPE HER. thats sick.

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

Hijaab does a body good...

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

justifying an extremist point of view on islam by pointing anther extremist point of view on hinduism is leading nowhere…

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

 well indians told me when i was wearing hijab: “you like to look pretty”…because keeping one’s skin white is considered grooming…so instead of modesty sign it was seeing as a “beauty” sign :bummer:sometimes one gets the opposite result of the expected one:(

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

Re: A Comprehensive Look into The Hijaab

  1. If you don’t expect respect for your views then I am happy you are happy

  2. You obviously don’t have to explain anything to me. Just pointing out a contradition you may want to explain to yourself.
