One does not just hate "Y u no"! It has done away with malarkey, albeit grammatical correct one, keeping in mind the shorter attention spans of modern day humanoids.

my friend is confused about can/could - Could you validate this?

As far as getting irritated with these - many of the people who make these mistakes are ones whose first language was something else. They are now forced to use English as thats the language which my industry does my business. So i dont hold them to it
