So…with all the troubles and issues going on in Life1, I’d like to post a beautiful blessing to all of us “marrieds”. Its a translation of the Apache wedding prayer/blessing but no matter where it came from, it truly is beautiful and strikes at the heart of the true meaning of Marriage:
Now you will feel no rain,
for eachof you will be shelter to the other. Now you will feel no cold,
for each of you will be warmth to the other. Now there is no lonliness for you,
for each of you will be companion to the other. Now you are two persons,
but there is one life before you. Go now to your dwelling place,
to enter into the days of your togetherness. And may your days be good and long upon this earth.
I would normally roll my eyes but this is really sweet. Native American tribes were really respectful towards their female members and wives, but today is a different story.
well its a nice poem .. and after reading first few .. it reminds of the Qur'anic Verse .. ''hunna libaasullakum wa antum libaasullahun'' they are a cloth for you and you are for them....and what do clothes do for you ..''shelter'' ..''warmth'' .. and what are you to each other .. ''companionship'' ..
but i bet this poem was stolen from the muslims :p
