A Beautiful Mind, Good Will Hunting and the like

I’ve recently found out that I like these types of movies. A lot. I was wondering if anyone could recommend movies like this. I mean movies about an eccentric genius or the such. Thanks!

I would but people seem to have "issues" with me responding to you RT.
So I won't.

^ If some people have “issues” with you replying to a thread, then maybe they shouldn’t post either.

Now you got anything? :hoonh:

Rain Man..maybe :konfused:

^ a good movie.

some others with a similar theme:

Pi
Infinity (not that great)
Psycho
October Sky
Shine

Austin Powers!

Have you seen "War Games" with Mathew Broderick?

&P, thanks.

Diablo, as always you know exactly what I want. Thanks! :flower1:

MM, fixed it, now get out. :stuck_out_tongue:

5Abi, nope, is that a recommendation?

Yep its a recommendation. Its an old flick (1983). Possibly, the first ever hacker flick. Mathew Broderick plays a whiz kid and accidently hacks into the military mainframe.

Oh, yes, I remember seeing that one. It was all right, but not my cup of tea. Thanks anyways!

Dead Poet's Society, too. Good movie.

Shawshank Redemption

^ Yeah, that was a good one, too. While this may be a bit out of the genre, Usual Suspects was also interesting.

Excellent movie! :-)

Watch Fight Club...

The Game Responds:

*What the freakin' hell is going on in this thread? The poor guy asked for movies about eccentric geniuses and people are responding with the American Beauties and the Fight Clubs! Even Shawshank Redemption doesn't sound right since it wasn't about a genius; it was about a smart man who was determined, not Einstein for God's sake! The only good recommendation I have seen so far is Rain Man. Think before you type, monkeys. People, That Is All.*
