Somehow I doubt this question was asked regarding a 22 year old brother and a 13 year old sister. Or a 22 year old male teacher and a 13 year old girl student. Or a 22 year old Jedi Master and a 13 year old youngling.

And then all the human members of the household cried in sadness before the oldest human dug a hole in the garden and buried the cat. That was a tipping point. The rats who were living in controlled numbers now celebrated their newly found freedom by breeding like rabbits. In the days to come the rats grew in numbers and soon enough the basements and garages were unable to contain them. The rats now outnumbering the remaining cats went on a rampage. There was a massacre and the entire cat population of that particular neighbourhood was eliminated. The rats were now brazen enough to attack the rabbits, squirrels and they even started stealing the bird eggs. It was havoc. The small town was truly overrun. The dogs totally got bored without any cats to chase and migrated to another location. Some of the more adventurous rats even attacked the baby humans. This spread terror into the hearts and minds of the humans. So without any help from the outside world, because the rats had chewed up the telephone lines, they could do nothing but run as far as they could. In days the entire town was devoid of any life bar the rats. The cats were massacred. The dogs got bored and left. The birds were dying without feed. Humans ran off scared too.

So curiosity didn't just kill the cat.

eww what would a 22 year (fresh grad from college) and 13 year old (in middle school) have in common. The would mentally worlds apart.

I personally see this issue as one relating to the environment in which both people are living..

My dadi was married at 12 and had her rukhsati at 15 or so....my dada was 15-16 at time of nikkah

I think my MIL was in her mid-teens when she got married as well.

One also has to look at the environment and time period, someone in the 1940s getting married as teenagers (key word is teenagerS) is worlds away from a 20 something educated person initiating a relationship with a young teenager.
