WASHINGTON: The White House denounced a massive leak of secret military files Sunday that allegedly describe how Pakistan’s spy service aids the Afghan insurgency, but said the information was no surprise.
In all, some 92,000 documents were released by the web whistleblower Wikileaks, containing previously untold details of the Afghan war through Pentagon files and field reports spanning from 2004 to 2010.

Was ISI involved in this leak ----- or it was a work of CIA insiders?

isi link is old news, and not really 'proved' to be the intel assessment of the US military, even with these memos.

one of the 'breaking news' coming out of this is that the talibs have surface to air missiles and have had them for years. its the first time ive heard such a thing confirmed, although the question was there since a few helis were brought down sometime back. if i remember correctly, the time was when unprecedented destabilising incidents (im not accusing ttp of being cia backed) were happening in pakistan. and we all wondered what the pakistani responce would be, but this is all circumstanial. the leaks that ive heard of so far have not 'proven' anything.

so definately a controlled cia disclosure rather then a genuine leak - with an aim of galvanising a ministorm for pullout of troops from afghanistan. the run

Sure enough ----- It can be safely postulated that any events gone haywire in the world would indicate automatic ISI involvement.

In order to explore possibilities of Taliban having surface to air missiles for years ----- we have to look at collective history of ASIA in chronological order with special attention to Afghanistan which has been hot bed for invaders for centuries now ----- Afghanistan was invaded by Russia in early eighties ----- consequently Pakistan fought US proxy against Russians ----- bearing in mind those nifty little stringers which were provided to then “Afghan Mujaheddin” by CIA ----- remember ----- then President of the United States Ronald Reagan meeting then “commander” of “Mujahedin” Gulbuddin Hekmatyar in the White House ----- remember Ronald Reagan's 1985 compliments inside White House to “Afghan Mujaheddin” “THESE GENTLEMAN ARE EQUVILANTS OF AMERICA'S FOUNDING FATHERS' ----- I guess it is a pay back time for the US now ----- hence I have no doubts in my mind that not only Russians but also Chinese have been providing logistics (in a military context of course) to Taliban for years now.

Do yo recall notorious quote by Henry Kissinger "Control oil and you control nations; control food and you control the people." ----- pretty sick isn't it? ----- remember “Kissinger’s 1974 Plan for Food Control Genocide” ----- relocating to the memory ----- back then staples of Pakistan such as sugar and flour were rationed ----- glancing back at mid seventies ----- when the U.S. National Security Council under Henry Kissinger completed a classified 200-page study, “National Security Study Memorandum 200: Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for U.S. Security and Overseas Interests.”

The study erroneously claimed that population growth in the so-called Lesser Developed Countries (LDCs) was a grave threat to U.S. national security. Adopted as official policy in November 1975 by President Gerald Ford, NSSM 200 outlined a covert plan to reduce population growth in those countries through birth control, and also, implicitly, war and famine. Brent Scowcroft, who had by then replaced Kissinger as national security adviser (the same post Scowcroft was to hold in the Bush administration), was put in charge of implementing the plan. Then CIA Director George Bush was ordered to assist Scowcroft, as were the secretaries of state, treasury, defense, and agriculture.

Admittedly it is all a game of deceit, prevarication, dissimulation and swindle ----- all in the name of control of natural resources ----- the bitter truth is that innocent people get hurt from all sides ----- pretty despondent isn't it?

Not only planing for the "exit strategy" ----- but also dump every thing on Pakistan and destroy left over weapons and ammunition before leaving as it was done at Ojhri Camp Rawalpindi at the end of so called cold war -----

One of the biggest issue facing US exit strategy is a face saver. After 9 long years and trillions of dollars down the drain there is nothing to show for. Since this leak I know there will be ISI all over the news papers and web sites...

One of their famous whipping boy is Hamid Gul, and this is what Gul Sahib had to say w.r.t. the leaked stories.

** If this is the condition of U.S. intelligence, then I am afraid it is no wonder they are losing in Afghanistan,” he said. **

They say success has many fathers failure is an orphan. This reminds me of British twice and once Soviet invasion of A-Stan and how history repeats itself.
