  1. anyone who traveled by air in US prior to 9/11 since 90s knows the security was very lax..airlines and airports were cutting costs and security was the first to go as no plane was highjacked in US for years.

  2. when people are determined they find out ways to do things. biggest concern usually is safety of the plane and passengers for the pilot and that was least of their worries.

  3. transponders were off and no communication to the planes. accorindg to some reports, there were thousands of plane in US air space at the time…plus FAA’s system alerted(prior to 9/11) about incoming planes to US but no such alerts for domestic flights.

Bascially the system had so many holes to invade and do damage that it actually surprises now that someone did not do it before 9/11.

JAPANESE INVESTIGATION OF 911 TERROR (ALSO THE DOWNING OF EGYPT AIR FLIGHT-990)

A two hour long documentary just released by Japan’s second largest television network, TV Asahi, probes deeply into the 911 tragedy. It has painstakingly investigated and interviewed numerous witnesses and experts, and exposes further flaws in Washington’s 911 myth. Japanese pilots and aviation specialists also give expert opinion in the documentary.

The world is divided between those who are just content to believe stories they hear while gulping beer and junk food, and those who take the troubles to investigate to find out the truth. In today’s world when wars are waged and thousands of innocent people are murdered on false information (and, as a double whammy, the victims are demonized as ‘terrorists’), people of conscience are becoming more skeptical and demanding proofs. Thankfully, Canadians are in the latter category.

Among the many interesting points the documentary presents, is a strong possibility that United flight 93 was shot down by the military. Several proofs are offered. Also, actual experiments conducted prove that Cell phone calls couldn’t have been made from the ill fated flight.

It also makes a strong case that the Pentagon was NOT hit by Flight AA77. According to the experts, not even the most skilled pilot could have manoeuvred the massive 757 plane just a few feet above the ground to hit the Pentagon (at the location where the hole was made). The complexity and precision of the approach manoeuvre are nearly impossible to reconcile with the official account that the plane was piloted by Hani Hanjour, an incompetent pilot of even single-engine prop-planes.

Also, there was no damage to the fence and the lawn and no dead bodies strewn around - remember it was supposed to be a passenger plane! Most eye-witnesses said they thought it was a missile that flew over.

Based on the size of the engine found in the photo taken by the official federal photographer, Jocelyn Augustino, experts speculate that it could have been a Sky Hawk which hit the Pentagon (the diameter of the engine is less than 1 metre whereas that of the 757 is over 2 metres). So, if the Pentagon was, in fact, hit either by a missile or a Sky Hawk, then it poses a potentially problematic question: “How on earth did Al-Qaeda get hold of the missile or the Sky Hawk to fire at Pentagon”? Then, another question follows: “If Al-Qaeda did not fire the missile or the Sky Hawk, then, who are the real perpetrators of the 911 Terror Attack?”

One more surprising revelation was about the Egyptian plane, Flight 990. Readers will remember the intense media frenzy alleging the co-pilot to have taken his own life and that of 216 other people, based on an utterance declaring faith in Islam (shahada).

For days and weeks, Islam and Muslims took a savage beating in the Media- a case of victims being demonized.

Britain’s John Coleman and other experts believe that the Egyptian plane may have been electronically hijacked, as a trial run before the real 911 attack. The plane carried among the passengers, 33 very important military personnel, including an Army and an Air Force brigadier general.

Since signing the Camp David peace accord with Israel in 1978, Egypt has been receiving $ 1.3 billion a year in military financing from the United States. Much of that aid has paid for weapons from U.S. defense contractors, tanks, fighter planes, helicopters and missile systems. Thousands of Egyptian officers have visited the United States to meet with defense contractors and participate in Pentagon-sponsored training programs. The presence of the 33 officers aboard the commercial flight, has prompted questions about whether they were potential targets of a terrorist attack.

After the US announced the deal to help Egypt in a major military modernization by selling the Egyptians 24 of the latest-model F-16 fighter planes, a Patriot missile battery and 200 new heavy tanks, an Israeli official told The Dallas Morning News that Israel considered Egypt to be a potential risk. One can only speculate if Israel had a hand in the 990 crash, especially when it was carrying 33 military officers!

After laying the blame on the Egyptian pilot and his belief system, suddenly the whole thing hit a black out. Too many questions began to pop up. A scientific analysis of what may have happened, completely disproves the Administrations’ theories. Please read “The REAL Mystery of Egypt Air Flight 990” by Mike Bara, who was employed by Boeing as a structural designer for more than 14 years, and worked on every major commercial (and some military) vehicle that the company produced, including the 767.

Shame on you for generalization of Muslim culture and ridiculing whole Muslim world for nothing. Trust me, had one-tenth of your brain been spent on what it had been meant for (to think logically), things would have been looking very different to you. However, unfortunately, much of it has been spent in finding the ways to ridicule and calling names to Muslim world. Not that I believe that USA government was involved in destroying the towers but what I really found disturbing were your insulting remarks about the whole Muslim World.

A Vast Conspiracy

Abd Al-Munim Said, head of the Al-Ahram Research Center in Egypt, once said: "We thought that by the end of the 20th century, the Arab mind would be open enough not to explain everything with a ‘conspiracy theory’…the biggest problem with conspiracy theories is that they keep us not only from the truth but also from confronting our faults and problems…This way of thinking relates any given problem to external elements, and thus does not [lead] to a rational policy to confront the problem."

Since 9/11/01, conspiracy theories against the U.S., the Jews, and the Zionists have been rampant in the Arab world. These notions are spread not only by marginal personalities and media outlets, but, more important, by prominent members of mainstream governments and media.

Some of last year’s most far-fetched conspiracy theories in the Arab world include: U.S. soldiers cannibalized Iraqi civilians; the U.S. was responsible for the car bomb that killed Iraqi Shia leader Muhammad Bakir Al-Hakim; the Jews were behind the explosion of the space shuttle Columbia; the U.S. was behind the SARS virus; and the Iraq war was launched to coincide with the Jewish holiday Purim. The following highlight the top ten Arab conspiracy theories in recent months:

  1. Pakistani Jamaatud-Dawa chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed was quoted in the Islamic Republic News Agency on November 13, 2003, stating that al Qaeda was not responsible for the Riyadh bombing that month. Rather, “It is a Jewish and American conspiracy against the mujahadeen and al Qaeda.”

  2. According to an editorial in the November 20 Yemen Times, the Istanbul bombings during Ramadan this past November could not have been committed by Muslims, as “the international Zionist establishment was keen on instigating this crime. This is strongly supported by the fact that no Muslim in his right mind could ever condone such crimes.”

  3. The Islamic Republic News Agency reported on February 28 that the U.S. captured Osama bin Laden in a tribal region of Pakistan. It claimed that Donald Rumsfeld’s recent trip to Pakistan was related to the capture. The report said that the U.S. will announce the capture shortly before the November presidential elections.

  4. Professor Galal Amin, a professor at the American University of Cairo, writing in the April 1 edition of Egypt’s Al-Ahram Weekly, explained: “There is still doubt that the September [11] attacks were the outcome of Arab and Islamic terror… Many writers…suspect that the attacks were carried out by Americans.”

  5. Writing in Kuwait’s Al-Watan on March 14, columnist Adnan Zayid Al-Kazimi identified the real culprit in the Madrid bombings: “I claim with certainty that the ones who attributed all evil to the Arabs and the Muslims are the Zionists, those who are closest to carry out such an operation like the other operations [that they carried out].”

  6. Said Al-Subki, columnist for the Saudi daily Al-Watan, also blamed the Madrid bombings on the Jews in its March 19 edition. He criticized Arab intelligence services for being “incapable of discovering the hidden Zionist fingers planning many terror operations in order to entangle the Arabs and Muslims.”

  7. Deputy editor of the Egyptian government daily Al-Gumhouriyya wrote an article on March 18 that accused the Jews of perpetrating every terrorist attack throughout the world. Regarding the Madrid bombings that took place March 11, Abd Al-Wahhab Adas claimed, in reference to the explosives and cassettes of the Koran found at the site, “It is obvious that the Jews are the ones who placed these things, in order to prove to the entire world that the Arabs and Muslims are behind the bombings.” Adas added about the Jews: “It is they who are behind the events of September 11.”

  8. In an interview with Al-Arabiyya TV, Lebanese Druze leader and parliamentarian Walid Jumblatt stated on March 21 that, as part of a “born-again Christian” scheme that included 9/11, the CIA controls Osama bin Laden.

  9. According to the Iranian Mehr News Agency, Hossein Sheikholeslam, the former Iranian ambassador to Syria, stated that the series of bombings that hit Damascus in the last week of April were “a bid to force Iraq’s neighbors to submit to their Iraq policy, the U.S. and the Zionist regimes orchestrated such terrorist attacks.” He noted, “This is not the first time that the U.S. and Israel have employed al Qaeda elements to help them reinforce their terrorist objectives.”

  10. After the bombing in Yunbu, Saudi Arabia, on May 1, Crown Prince Abdullah stated: “Zionism is behind terrorist actions in the kingdom. I can say that I am 95 percent sure of that.”

I am sorry if I refuse to accept the “Arcitic Beacon” as a solid source when part of their mission statement is the coverage of UFOs and aliens on Earth. Sort of a tip off on journalistic standards. And yes, there are thousands of good sources on the internet that ARE qualified and reputable.

Recently, I met somebody, who has worked abroad for much of his life, who flies to London to listen to classical music concerts, and is otherwise a very urbane man. On our first meeting he seriously asked me for my views on 9/11: who dunnit, in brief? I said I thought the American authorities had documented the case against the 19 suicide bombers pretty thoroughly.

“Irfan Bhai,” he replied, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “Sooner or later we will discover the Japanese were behind the attacks.” “The Japanese?” I asked, startled. This was a new one for me. His theory was that a group of Japanese patriots had planned the whole thing to avenge the American nuclear attacks on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Dream on, I said to myself.

Every year at Christmas, the Economist brings out a special double issue which contains a number of essays on a wide and eclectic range of subjects. This year has been a particularly good one with some brilliant long articles on the importance of Marxism today, a witty defence of cluttered desks, the possibility of pilotless planes and eating out in Vietnam.

One piece that stood out was on conspiracy theories. The anonymous writer put things in perspective by pointing out that every nation and every period has seen its share of screwball theories. Israeli government spokesmen have accused the BBC of being Yasser Arafat’s mouthpiece. (Ironically, Muslims charge the news service of being pro-Israeli). Forty years after his death and countless books later, 73 per cent of Americans still think John Kennedy was the victim of a conspiracy. Indians see the ISI’s hand in every explosion and every cricketing defeat. Pakistanis are prone to blame RAW (and the CIA as well as Mossad) for all their woes.

I recently met a gentleman who will go nameless here (suffice it to say he is widely respected for his integrity) who accused me of not paying enough attention to what he termed ‘the real conspiracies’ against Pakistan and the Muslim world. “Why else have democracy and education not taken root?” he demanded. I answered that western governments and institutions had been trying for years to persuade our leaders to educate our children and introduce democracy.

Surely nobody was stopping us from spending more on education, I suggested, just as nobody except authoritarian leaders were blocking democratic reforms.But I’m afraid I failed to convince him, and left after recounting my favourite conspiracy theory told to me in all seriousness by a serving general a few years ago. It seems that when the British colonialists were dishing out canal-irrigated land in Punjab and Sindh to their favourite toadies in the 19th century, they were deliberately building up a feudal class that would hinder Pakistan’s progress after it was created a century later.

I asked him if he was seriously suggesting that the Brits had foreseen the emergence of a separate Muslim state on the subcontinent decades before it was even dreamed of by its founding fathers. Absolutely, he replied: “Irfan Sahib, you don’t realize how far ahead the British and Americans plan”.

**The Economist article has an explanation for the attraction of conspiracism: “… as grand unifying theories of geopolitics go, it is simple to grasp. In ill-educated societies, that makes it appealing. It is also impossible to disprove, because any fact that does not fit the theory can be dismissed as a trick by the conspirators to throw ordinary folks off the scent…” And, of course, blaming others for our problems is much easier than taking charge of our destiny and working hard to overcome our own difficulties. If we are convinced that “they” are out to get us, and “they” are all-powerful and plan centuries ahead, what’s the point of even trying? **

Joey who's taking over, China, the EU, the Khilafa? And keep in mind that in the decades to come when a nation like China becomes a superpower that doesn't mean the U.S. loses its superpower status. And let's not forget, competition is what made America great and competition is what will make it even better, the rise of others needn't be a negative thing.

This thread is a big conspiracy against the ummah...why would someone open a thread to discuss who did 9/11 when we all know the anwer - americans did it themselves. This is a way of making people talk about it and put things in doubt that 90% of ummah is sure about.

I read in above links how the towers were structurally built..it said it was the design that made it possible to make them that tall, that lead to there collapse due to heat. see..these americans knew it when they built it that it can fallif too much heat...they had already planned it to happen this way...and of course jews were involved too how else 4000 of them will call sick the same day...and all of them had influenza.

guys we all know american women dance naked for few dollars....why can't they blow up the towers for few more dollars....so there it goes guys..hookers blew up the towers...they do it all the times...

the quoted piece wasn’t from the “Arctic Beacon” but a contributing write to it… and what the hey does this Irfan Hussain’s piece have to do with the discussion..stick to the topic.. one by one.. skeptics are voicing their opinions and doubts a little more freely than they could a couple of years ago..
