Amazing really. A vast majority of Pakistanis don’t have internet access. So in reality the internet is a horrible indicator for anything in Pakistan.

SO when the CIA claims that the bulk of the traffic of pornographic and other pathetic sites is coming from Pakistan, this means all the other 11 % who r online right now, r using for the same purpose?

Makes sensE?

This also implies that we should not have any more internet access at all. This 11% has already made enough headlines.

Um.. I've a lil doubt on this figure. Havnt read the article but it just doesn't seem right. Unless we are talking about like total rural village, people do come online Ofcourse may not be like 24x7 availability like big cities

Pakistanis constantly get those Google Search Trends, thrown in their face. And even if those search trends are worrying, to a certain degree, those search trends don't show much else than that most Pakistanis don't know where to find such stuff, so they have to search for it.

Those who knows that you can read news from Pakistan at for example Dawn.com, will obviously not search for pakistani news on google.
Likewise with animal pornography for example. If you know where to find it, obviously you are not going to search for it, but rather just type in the web site address.

The whole debate about Pakistanis being more inclined to watch such stuff than others, is just silly.

Yeah, I have my doubts as well. Even in many villages, people have access to internet.
