Whoever thought it was possible?
It has happened today in the match between Aus v SA.
Has to be the one of the best ODI ever.
Also proves that Aus without Mcgrath and warne are not a very effective team. They were unable to defend a score of 434.
All the credit to SA, they hung in there and pulled off an unlikely victory.

Australias most Economical bowler conceeded only 67 runs in his 10 over and got 5 wickets.. rest are like 8,9,10, 11 runs per over..
the nubmer of Sixes and Fours is also the highest.
I dont know, but I think a few ppl ( in the ground or home) might have reached the hospital coz of this match..

Whatever....... This was awesome....... I saw full SA batting and am still in some kind of daze..
I am not sure but two batsmen scoring more than 150 within one Oneday game could also be some kind of record

Lewis became the first bowler to concede more than 100 runs in 10 overs. Although Snedden went for 105 for that was from 12 overs.
Another record is the highest aggregate total i.e 872 beating the previous one of 693 by India and Pakistan at Karachi.

However I must say that ICC SHOULD allow two bouncers per over. Power play and mystry behind TV coverage for full 100 overs etc are killing bowler’s game in ODI. This is a little injustice with the people who drop the most sweat in the field.

Doesn’t it makes game really worth watching. As the game processes the benchmarks for bowlers would change and a bowler giving 5 runs a over will be taken as a great spell. Remember early days of OneDay Internationals, a score of 250 in 60 overs was winnable, that means a bowler giving 4 runs a over was pathetic, now 10 over 40 runs 2 wickets is excellent performance. Hence anything to make game interesting..
Even today we had Bracken with 10-0-57-5 figures…

Really, hats off to SA and cheers!! It does prove now that the "belter" pitches are a hell of a place for the bowlers. You can't really defend a total if you don't have your main baller/s. I had a moment of epiphany of Pak chasing 319 in Peshawar,after reading that SA chased the 434 target
What a huge total by Aus and what a "gem" of a reply by SA. I can't resist watching the highlights. Plz, if someone can post the highlights just of the SA innings, it will be very much appreciated.
Ehsan bhai, 872 runs in 100 overs, just amazing. Not only that, no team ever made 400 in ODI Cricket history and today Aus made it and SA slapped them the 400 with the best of Gibbs and their captain's performance. No doubt, it was the greatest match as said by CricInfo and boy would Gibbs not be happy after this. I really wish SA take the heck out of Aus in the test series as well..
Also, on a side note, ODI Cricket is getting more and more worth watching day by day. You can't have better Cricket than this.
