81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

I didn’t like Angelina dress or her jewerly. I think Freida Pinto should have wore something else. her gown was aweful!

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

is angelina jolie losing her charm or what? hr face luked melted....lol.

Way to go A.R.Rehman !!

And I am glad that he won Best Song for a totally desi song, instead of one of his western compositions :biggthumb

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

i loved the ivory look, gorgeous gowns! these were my fav

last but not least the cute kiddos!!

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

I loved most of the actresses dresses who wore ivory color like above^ (except jennifer's)

I looked at miley cyrus again and although her dress is pretty I agree with whoever said before...it was too much for a 16 yr old.

I didn't like jessica biel's dress, this other lady with a black skirt attached with a brownish loose top (forgot her name) and the old actress who spoke on sttage during best actress nominees...sophia something.

The best part was when heath ledger won and a.r rahman and did you see how anil kapoor was probably far ahead than the producer of slumdog...to get on that stage!!! that was funny and when he felt he needed to grab that oscar and wave it in the air. he was excited but i was glad they all won!

I dont know but i haven't watched most of the movies nominated so I can't judge who deserves to win but i plan to do so. =D

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

Highlights show was SO naff! Only got to see Hugh Jackman for like 10 seconds! I read that he sung and danced! :(

Jen.A looked very uncomfortable, bless her.

I love the fact that I have only seen SlumDog. Hadnt even heard of Milk! I havn't even seen Wall E and that won an award!

I thought what Cuban J jad to say was quite funny. I didnt really get Robert.D.J's performance in Tropic Thunder either, very odd.

Meryl Streep looked so good, was quite shocked as she usually wears some rather strange outfits.

Anne Hathaway looked kind of fit too, I think I have a school boy crush on her.

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

some of those dresses above looks like wedding gowns.

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

*Can we please stop talking about the overrated Slumdog movie and focus on best actor for a second?

I seriously thought Rourke was going to take it, but Penn was the dark horse. I was salivating at the line-up of actors who were on stage to present the best actor award (except for Adrian Brody who seemed like a complete mismatch and should have been replaced with Pacino/Hoffman/someone credible).*

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

^ i agree! adrian brody was not a good choice!

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

I thought Mike Rourke would win for Wrester, but Sean Penn is good too. Was Milk honored because Brokeback Mountain was ignored as best picture few years back.

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

wa da hell was beyonce wearing???????????????????? she looked HOooriblEEEE

President Obama may not be delivering a State of the Union tonight, but he's adhering to one apparently unshakable SOTU tradition: lunching with the anchors.

The purpose, of course, was to spin -- or guide -- the journalistic guests on the speech to Congress. But one participant tells me the president began by talking about "Slumdog Millionaire," the India-based film that cleaned up at the Oscars.

Obama said the movie reminded him of the years he spent in Indonesia.

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

im so glad the oscars are over and that slumdog mil will just go away now. i saw bollywood dancing at the oscars. the world is coming to an end.

hugh jackman....was just YUMMAAAY. loved jennifer aniston's, angelina's, anne hathaway's and penelope's outfits....but they were a bit on the safe side....neutrals and sparkle is always a hit on the red carpet. the pinto girl has a cute face on her but the dress was fugly.
