Hello Everyone, I am AR Rahman. Some of my hit numbers were actually copy cats from Western songs, which I copied without even providing credit. But it's all good now since I have an Oscar.
-Bye Now
AR Rahman.
Hey Dude,
Give me a single tune which he copied from your so called West (am not talking about some Commercially available loops and beats here). If you cant then just
Very happy for A.R.Rahman that he won...well deserved....he is one of the best out there.
However I was very unimpressed by his speech (if thats what you would call it). I understand that it is nerve wrecking to be on the stage...but common could you not prepare little bit to say something nice and act mature.....i don't know if it is his personality or what...he was just plain weird last night!!! millions of people watching you...least could be done was to say just one single sentence properly....even Japanese who came later spoke much better then him.
As much as I love Kate Winslet, she really did not deserve the award for The Reader. She deserved a nomination and a win for Revolutionary Road. I'm disappointed it didn't get more nominations.
^ true, instead of being a big draaag like in the past few yrs, this was fast-paced and actually entertaining, especially liked the bit where past oscar winning actors and actresses were called on stage to announct the current winners, nice touch, passing on the legacy.
ya i noticed that too, maybe he was just nervous or he is a man of few words. on his second win he said something strange like ‘all my life i was given a choice between hate n love but i always chose love and i am here’ and then he literally runs off the stage. cute!
AR is like that, he used to just take the award, say thank you and leave until they had to ask him to stop doing that as the paid audience expects a little more.
Am i the only who actually very much liked miley's dress? yes, i think the feather like cuts could have been toned down but i luv the colors and the embelleshment. Now who looked the best? i think meryl steep :) What grace, charm and talent.

I think he spoke fine and was nt super nervous or anything.
