81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

Hey Dude,

Give me a single tune which he copied from your so called West (am not talking about some Commercially available loops and beats here). If you cant then just

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

did any one notice that brad pitt was guiding angelina jolie...and how jennifer anniston was seemed like she will start crying any minute :D.

and how TV did forget to focus angelina while jennifer was presenting for nominees.

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

When are they going to be repeated in UK? I just watched red carpet :(

AR Rehman's wife looked really nice, I actually liked what she was wearing :D

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

wow his wife is so pretty mashallah:cb:

Even Loveleen Tandon co-director of Slumdog Millionaire wore a Sari and not the Western gown. Freida Pinto should have worn a sari.

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

Very happy for A.R.Rahman that he won...well deserved....he is one of the best out there.
However I was very unimpressed by his speech (if thats what you would call it). I understand that it is nerve wrecking to be on the stage...but common could you not prepare little bit to say something nice and act mature.....i don't know if it is his personality or what...he was just plain weird last night!!! millions of people watching you...least could be done was to say just one single sentence properly....even Japanese who came later spoke much better then him.

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

As much as I love Kate Winslet, she really did not deserve the award for The Reader. She deserved a nomination and a win for Revolutionary Road. I'm disappointed it didn't get more nominations.

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

surprisingly every1 looked good this year :hmmm: no huge fashion blunders but nuthign outstanding either.

miley looked her age after a long time. angelina jolie was borign again.

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

I think the ENTIRE show was a real gem!

From the stage setup to dress up and everything. It was awesome.

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

^ true, instead of being a big draaag like in the past few yrs, this was fast-paced and actually entertaining, especially liked the bit where past oscar winning actors and actresses were called on stage to announct the current winners, nice touch, passing on the legacy.

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

considering last years oscars, these were like 100 % better

Ar Rehman's wife looks soooooo cute, but i guess his mom was there too.

i wish Brad Pitt won

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

Congratulations to AR Rahman, a well deserved one. The man is a musical genius indeed.

ya i noticed that too, maybe he was just nervous or he is a man of few words. on his second win he said something strange like ‘all my life i was given a choice between hate n love but i always chose love and i am here’ and then he literally runs off the stage. cute!

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

Not one single channel in the U.K airing the ceremony!! How bloody rude!

I mananged to catch a few bits at 06.00 on BBC breakfast, but nothing tonight, nothing at all!

Urgh!

WAIT!!

I lie!

22.00 Sky 1 - highlights only though.

Thank flip!

Its about time you move to the civilized world, aka the USA.

AR is like that, he used to just take the award, say thank you and leave until they had to ask him to stop doing that as the paid audience expects a little more.

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

Am i the only who actually very much liked miley's dress? yes, i think the feather like cuts could have been toned down but i luv the colors and the embelleshment. Now who looked the best? i think meryl steep :) What grace, charm and talent.

I think he spoke fine and was nt super nervous or anything.

Only if I get nominated for 'Most fabulous Punjabaan lass in the world'

I would so win it too!

Oh man, what to wear, what to wear!

Re: 81st Academy Awards & Red Carpet

SO many women wore ivory/white gowns -

Jenn aniston's dress to die for. Amy Adams jewelry awesome!

So glad AR Rahman won. I didn't like his melody with the other guy. I thought they should have presented the songs individually and not combined them.

Loved the stage!
