so, instead of just posting videos, lets post a video and some story, about the band, about why the song is your fav, what memories you have with it etc. and if we can find something that we think a large number of ppl either may not have heard or not heard in ages. a lesser known song by a big 80s band

so here goes

my first one is fiction factory, feels like heaven.
chords sound familiar, well..because vital signs lifted it in naraz tum naraz hum.
i love this song btw.

oh personal story, in the first mix tape i ever made for someone, this was song 1 :slight_smile:

Go West was a british band and this was the soundtrack for the movie Pretty Woman . I think this was their biggest hit .

i think we close our eyes and dont look down girl came first.
I almost confused them for hall and oates when i heard we close our eyes.

Guns N Roses - Sweet Child O’ Mine

This song just takes me back to early University days… reminds me of the uber cool dress sense back then (big hair, ultra skinny pants, rocker leather jacket… damn we were hot :smooth:) and i love the guitar solo in this song (at 2:44)… because of that solo, i emotionally blackmailed my grandpa to buy me my first guitar! :smiley:

Freddie Mercury - my man - a British Indian musician, best known as the frontman of the rock band Queen.

Fronted by Mercury, Queen went on to sell more than 300 million albums internationally as of 2009.

despite his sexual orientation - he is one of me heroes :slight_smile:

this is the first english song jis k lyrics i made my mamoo write down, when i heard it in his car when i was like 5 :slight_smile:

hehe i still have that paper. and i remember there used to be a show Street Hawks something. The theme song was this one and i absolutely loved that show

used to watch in on NTM along with full house
