Bro, why the hate for Political Science/Social Science?????? I don't get it with your folks. Political Science is not a REAL program???? Where in the world did you get that from? Seriously I am pissed off. I am tired of seeing kids saying "Oh, you see, when you graduate from engineering, all doors are open" LOL the only door that's open is their mouth. I am like who said that, your parents?? haha

but I just wanted to get that out of me. We need more and more intellectuals in our ummah, so stop saying political science is of a lower level than engineering or what not.
For you, I suggest you have a long talk about this with your parents, relatives and friends who are close to you and then your professors. Think about how you will support your parents and your future wife (inshallah). :) Then go for what you think is right!!! May Allah make it easy for you.
