Re: 7th ODI, India vs Australia, Mumbai 17th october 2007
It could very well have been 5/2 if rain had not saved India in the first match. :p
India had only lost Tendu in that match...and that is not such a huge loss these days. A target of 307 was still achievable.
But I am not saying that Indian team were unlucky or anything....as a matter of fact...they sucked for the most part....all I am saying is that with a little bit of application in the last match, they could have still managed to scrape through with a 3--3 scoreline.
Re: 7th ODI, India vs Australia, Mumbai 17th october 2007
^ sure sure coulda woulda shoulda.
india never managed to chase a target of 300, never even touched 300 to speak of being achievable. and Australia scored 300+ runs in the first match that was rained out.
it probably WOULD have been 5-2, on the evidence of india's mettle this series.
nevertheless, disappointing performance by Australia, 4 or 5- 2 against India on home soil is not good enough.

I would like to see some more of Uthappa before I gladly admit that I was wrong about him.
He is obviously on a roll these days...that can happen sometimes (think Sehwag)...esp when your astrological planets are nicely lined up....
I can also see that he is very high on confidence currently...which by itself can make up significantly for any technique deficiencies. But it takes only a few bad matches for a player's confidence level to plummet...and it usually goes downhill from there...if you don't have the skill to back you (again, think Sehwag).
So, in conclusion, I would like to see him for a couple more series.

What part of "India sucked for the most part" don't you understand.
Re: 7th ODI, India vs Australia, Mumbai 17th october 2007
i agree with you on the india sucked part, i was just disputing the likelihood of our preferred fantasy scorelines :). coulda been 3-3 helps you sleep easier, coulda been 5-2 makes me happy

fanatasy scoreline ? Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
btw, in ODIs you may be the better team only for 20% of the match and still end up winning it.
Australia's superiority over the Indian team is beyond doubt....but India could have still scrapped through with 3-3...that is all I am saying....and I cannot write that in Urdu to drive it home.
Re: 7th ODI, India vs Australia, Mumbai 17th october 2007
and i deny you that lovely little consolation by reminding you that not only is it definitely a 2 in India's win column, it probably wouldve been a 5 in Australia's. might've been 3 for India but wasnt when the game was played out. probably wouldve been 5 for australia but the game didnt end.

Ok let me explain that in Pashtu. Some1 is too nice to speak in the language people understand at this forum..
Here is a perspective..in last 7 ODI between Pak and AUS result was 6-1. :D
Dont you think 4-2-1 looks better now. :D

Before that Pak tour of India will be intresting
… Keep in mind we dont have pappu spinners like Paul Harris
We will see some Shalwar on fire.
Re: 7th ODI, India vs Australia, Mumbai 17th october 2007
I think this Pakistani team is the weakest test team ever to tour India. Allah khair karay. In ODI they will give some fight.
Re: 7th ODI, India vs Australia, Mumbai 17th october 2007
I just realized that I will be in India for the major part of India-Pak series.
Very kooool…no asking for free links.
I see myself drowned under the onslaught of the Indian media hype(TV, akhbaar, Radio Mirchi and such)…two-bit ex-players handing down their “valuable” opinions from everywhere…
Great fun awaits.

they said the same when Pak toured India in 2005.
