' There are seven types of individuals whom Allah will shelter in His (Throne's) Shade on the Day when there will be no shelter except His: a just ruler, a young man who grew in Allah's worship, a man whose heart is attached to the masjids (prayer places and times), two men who love each other for Allah's sake so that they meet upon that and depart upon it, a man who remembers Allah when he is alone and his eyes shed tears, a man who is invited (to zina) by a woman of prominence and beauty and he responded, " I surely fear Allah.", and a man who gave charity so secretly that his left hand did not know what his right hand spent. ' Recorded by al-Bukhari, Muslim, and others.
thank you aapki :) thats what i had forgotten, again thank you.
Thanks for the info Amanat.
just curious.. what about women?.. since the word "man" have been used so many times above?.. does it mean bother men and women or just a man?
I wonder if the author/fabricator read this:
[Yusufali 7:152] Those who took the calf (for worship) will indeed be overwhelmed with wrath from their Lord, and with shame in this life: thus do We recompense those who invent (falsehoods)
Throughout Qur'an Allah discusses the kind of people who will face His wrath on the Day of Judgement.. alas the list doesn't remotely resemble the one produced above..
Allah has discussed wrath in the context of who will face it.. not who will be excluded.. Allah had sufficient time and verses in the Qur'an to do it.. but He never gave a blanket amnesty to anyone.. hence the hadith contradicts Qur'an.
Ouch..PA!
You devil
Cant you let us dream

No that isn't very true. I've read on numerous occasions where it is said that the believing ones will be saved and excluded from the fire. The definition of those who believe can be found in numerous places, such as this:
O those who believe, obey Allâh(swt) and obey the Messenger(saww) and those in authority among you. (4:59)
I dont really see a blank amnesty anywhere. Apparently people who have avoided major sins or learned to live and love for the sake of Allah(swt) will be protected by Allah(swt).
as for suroor's question, i'm not sure, so dont quote me on this, but wherever the word man is used in a generalized form, it refers to both genders. but maybe someone else can elaborate on that.
hmmm.

that's not a definition.. that's an order for the believer.. a definition would tell us who the audience is in the first place.
