61% of Americans will not support Iraq attack if US goes alone .

According to an ABCNEWS Nightline poll, fifty-six percent of Americans favor military action to force Saddam Hussein from power. However, Support drops to a 39 percent minority if U.S. allies oppose it.

A bit of scare-mongering propaganda will soon change all that. Expect a steady increase in stories about Saddam’s weapons arsenal, probably including nuclear capability baby torturing, blah blah, etc.

If I remember right, General Noriega was a devil-worshiper in the stories which ran prior to the US invasion of Panama
